The Final Table Action

Plesuv came into the final table with a nice lead, after scoring a massive knockout Jan "hownorez" Nakladal in 11th place. From there, Plesuv wouldn't look back, constantly putting pressure on his opponents to continue to amass a humongous chip stack.

That aggression was on perfect display in the first knockout of the final table, where Plesuv would end up five shoving with just Ace-Deuce in an effort to isolate against the small stack, "PrettyVinnie." After he scooped that pot, Plesuv amazingly held half of the chips in play, even though it was still eight handed.

With such a massive chip lead, Plesuv was content to let other stacks battle each other from there, mostly sitting on the sidelines until he got back over 100 million chips with the elimination of "K0SICE."

From that point on, Plesuv would score every elimination, a massive reason why he took home a huge portion of the bounty prizepool, $67,247 total. To put that in perspective, the next highest bounty total at the final table was just $11,334, earned by Luis "luisnrd" Dorneles.

Congratulations again to Pavel Plesuv for adding another big title to his already impressive poker resume. Thank you to everyone who followed the coverage here at Pokernews, and be on the lookout for more updates from this massive Pokerstars WCOOP Series!

"SiKCalL_A7" Eliminated in 2nd Place ($83,956)

Level 43 : 800,000/1,600,000, 200,000 ante

"SiKCalL_A7" min raised to 3,200,000, and Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv called to see the flop come down {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Plesuv checked, and "SiKCalL_A7" continued for 1,600,000. Plesuv check raised to 4,800,000, and "SiKCalL_A7" called to see the {8-Clubs} hit the turn.

Plesuv kept up the aggression with a bet of 5,412,000, and again, "SiKCalL_A7" tagged along. The {j-Spades} completed the board, and Plesuv fired one more time, 6,400,000. "SiKCalL_A7" moved all in for 25,535,332, and Plesuv thought for a bit before calling with {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a rivered pair.

It was good, as "SiKCalL_A7" showed just {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for a missed draw, and they hit the rail, earning $83,956. However, Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv will take home first place, earning over $67,000 with just the bounties alone, for a combined first place prize of $144,295.

Stay tuned for a full recap of today's play.

"SiKCalL_A7" Doubles Up

Level 43 : 800,000/1,600,000, 200,000 ante

"SiKCalL_A7" moved his their final 14,673,666 in preflop holding {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv put them at risk with {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. The flop of {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} gave "SiKCalL_A7" some extra outs, as a five would work now, and while the {10-Spades} turn didn't help, the {q-Spades} river certainly did.

"SiKCalL_A7" doubles up to nearly 30 million, but still has a tall mountain to climb to get back in this.

“horvYptr” Eliminated in 3rd Place ($52,731)

Level 43 : 800,000/1,600,000, 200,000 ante

Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv raised to 3,200,000, and “horvYptr” three bet to 9,600,000 from the small blind. Plesuv put out a four bet to 17,600,000, and “horvYptr” called to see the flop come {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. They checked to Plesuv, who continued for 9,350,000. “horvYptr” called, and the {7-Hearts} came on the turn.

“horvYptr” open shoved all in for just under 31,880,602, and Plesuv called with {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. His top pair was miles ahead of the pocket sixes of “horvYptr”, who was looking for a six or an eight to survive. However, the {j-Spades} came instead, and we are now heads up, with Plesuv holding a massive lead.

Plesuv Wins Huge Pot With Rivered Flush

Level 42 : 700,000/1,400,000, 175,000 ante

"SiKCalL_A7" limped in from the small blind, and Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv bumped it up to 4,900,000 from the big blind. "SiKCalL_A7" called, and they went heads up to a flop of {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. "SiKCalL_A7" check called a bet of 3,407,250, and the turn brought the {j-Hearts}.

This time, "SiKCalL_A7" check called a bet of 8,741,145 from Plesuv, and the river was the {2-Hearts}. A third check from "SiKCalL_A7" saw Plesuv fire his biggest bet yet, 28,200,000, and "SiKCalL_A7" called for over half their remaining stack. However, they had to muck after Plesuv rolled over {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair that turned into a flush by the river.

Luis "luisnrd" Dorneles Eliminated in 4th Place ($43,920)

Level 42 : 700,000/1,400,000, 175,000 ante

Action folded to big stack Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv in the small blind, and he moved all in. This bet was for the 21 million and change leftover for Luis "luisnrd" Dorneles in the big blind, and he would call all in with {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Dorneles got his chips in good again, as Plesuv showed just {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, but the flop didn't cooperate, coming down {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

The {4-Hearts} turn did mean that an ace or queen would work now, but the {8-Spades} completed the board instead. A rough ending for the Braziian, but he will be taking home nearly $44,000 for his efforts.

“horvYptr” Doubles Through Dorneles

Level 42 : 700,000/1,400,000, 175,000 ante

Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv kicked off the action with a raise to 2,800,000, and Luis "luisnrd" Dorneles called on the button. “horvYptr” three bet it to 13,300,000, which was enough to get Plesuv out of the hand.

However, Dorneles moved all in, setting “horvYptr” all in for their final 42 million and change. “horvYptr” would call with {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, and they were in rough shape against the pocket jacks of Dorneles. The flop of {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} was safe for the Brazilian, as was the {k-Spades} turn.

However, the {a-Clubs} slammed down on the river, giving a massive double to “horvYptr”, while taking over half of Dorneles's chips.
