‘PAhrRK’ Prevails in Full Tilt $1.5 Million Guarantee

As the celebration of its FIVE promotion drew to a close, Full Tilt Poker ran a $1.5 Million Guarantee this weekend. A field of 3,315 online players gathered to duke it out for the $296,775.38 top prize. Notable finishes that fell short of the final table included marlin5555 in 12th ($15,912), Brian "ZBTHorton" Horton in 14th place ($11,768.25), Steve "StevoL_7" Leonard in 41st place ($3,895.13), and Paul Wasicka in 51st place ($3,066.38). Despite coming to the final table as one of the shortest stacks, online player PAhrRK battled back and in the end took down the tournament and the six-figure prize money. The chip counts at the start of the final table were as follows:

DiGiTaLDeMoN was the first player to hit the rail. At the 40,000/80,000/10,000 level, DiGiTaLDeMoN went all in under the gun for 1,316,339 with JJ and ran into PAhrRK’s QQ. The board brought no help to DiGiTaLDeMoN, down to less than one big blind and soon out in ninth place for $22,210.50. Alex “ags104” Santiago busted next, during the 60,000/120,000/15,000 level. Charles “HellaStacks_” Lee raised to 256,680 from the cutoff and Santiago reraised all in from the small blind for 954,091 with A9. Lee called and tabled a dominating AK. The board rolled out 88J32 as Alex “ags104” Santiago headed out in eighth place for $29,835.

The next casualty was uRuGwa1. From the hijack, uRuGwa1 shipped it in for 990,295 holding QJ and found action from Charles “HellaStacks_” Lee with 66.The board ran out 3742J as Lee flushed uRuGwa1 away in seventh place for $38,122.40. Jason “TheMasterJ33” Dewitt’s tournament came to an end after he got it all in with A8 against philbort’s KJ. The cards fell 9JKQ7 as Dewitt bid adieu in sixth place for $50,885.25.

Philbort’s taste of victory was brief, however, as he was next to depart at the 80,000/160,000/20,000 level after becoming the short stack. The last of philbort’s chips were on the line with K2 against PAhrRK’s K5. The community cards came 428Q3 as PAhrRK made a flush to eliminate philbort in fifth place for $68,786.25. Sweepybreedy was the next to fall after calling all in with QJ against Charles “HellaStacks_” Lee’s A7. Lee proceeded to flop two pair and sweepybreedy failed to catch up, out in fourth place for $91,991.25.

Charles “HellaStacks_” Lee wound up as the third-place finisher. Much of his stack went to PAhrRK in one hand when both players turned a flush, but Lee’s queen-high flush came up short against PAhrRK’s king-high flush. On his final hand, Lee was all in with A9 against PAhrRK’s KQ. However, the board ran out KKA210 as Lee was ousted in third place for $117,682.50.

Heads-up play was brief as PAhrRK soon closed it out with K10 against blarkin’s A9. The board ran out K34109. giving PAhrRk two pair and the victory, as blarkin took second place for $180,667.50. The winner of the Full Tilt $1.5 Million Guarantee was PAhrRK for $296,775.38.
