FTOPS XXII Day 9: Top Pros "eisenhower1" and Randy "rh300487" Hereman Win Gold
Three more winners captured gold jerseys Monday at the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) XXII. All three events had six-figure guaranteed prize pools, and more than $800,000 was handed out during the day.
Online poker pro "eisenhower1" from Sweden was the biggest earner after taking down Event #22 for $91,559. Eisenhower1 agreed to a heads-up deal with "o daskalos" of Cyprus before going on to win his first FTOPS title. Athanasios "Athanasios 9" Polychronopoulos finished third in the event for $51,175, and two-time FTOPS champ Mark "xqsays" Radoja finished fourth for $40,050.
Also winning tournaments on Monday were Randy "rh300487" Hereman and "czlol." Herman, a highly regarded tournament player from Brazil, collected the $25,750 top prize in Event #21, while czlol received more than $50,000 for taking down Event #23.
A new leader in the FTOPS XXII Leader Board, Christer "Betong" Johansson, took the top position away from "isinm2006," who held the lead for several days. Johansson won his first FTOPS title in 2010 and is still seeking his second but has amassed numerous cashes in FTOPS XXII to lead the standings. Isinm2006 is still second in the leaderboard race, and "galinka02" bumped Karolis "karolis666" Grybauskas out of the third position on Monday.
