In addition to the Main Event, the PokerStars Canada Cup will include a $10,400 High Roller event and 10 other side events for a total of 12 events over 13 days.

Rounding out the series are the ever-popular six-max and eight-max no-limit hold’em formats plus a $300 Bounty event.

Playground Poker Club, which is located less than twenty minutes south of downtown Montreal, opened in late 2010 and has been hosting major international events since 2012. Being the largest poker room in Canada, Playground is well known throughout the poker world for attracting large fields and generating huge prize pools. And, while poker players are always motivated by huge prize pools, they also know that everything about experience at Playground Poker is geared towards giving players an exceptional poker experience.

Events in the PokerStars Canada Cup will be held in the immense tournament hall. With a total capacity of over 500 players, the tournament hall features high-quality, newly-felted tables and premium seating to ensure players’ comfort even through the longest of events. Top tournament player Jeff Gross is a fan: “Playground has to be one of my favorite venues in the world to play cards. These guys have the formula down to a T.”

Playground Poker Club also offers players a range of services to fuel their bodies and minds while at the tables. Players can order a delicious table-side meal from the Rail Coal Fire Bistro at any time. Massage therapists are also available to help with the aches and pains of a long poker session.
