The Playground Poker Montreal Festival Wraps Up and WPT Montreal Approaches

WPT Montreal

The Playground Poker Montreal Festival is coming to a close, as the Main Event reaches its final day. The festival has been a huge success with over $1,400,000 Million in prizes already awarded through 12 of the 16 events, including a huge $190,750 top prize for the Main Event coming from a total prize pool of $1,031,110.

As we turn the page on another successful festival at Playground Poker Club, it’s time to look forward to the next big series — The Playground Poker Fall Classic, including the 2014 World Poker Tour Montreal. The full event schedule is now available on Playground's Fall Classic and WPT Montreal mini-site.

The schedule has something to offer everyone, from the top touring professional all the way to the recreational player who wants to give big-time poker a try. As has become tradition during a Playground series, the Fall Classic kicks off with a low buy-in, multi-day tournament boasting an impressive $100,000 guarantee, which is now dubbed “The Wild $150.” This will be followed up by an amazing six-Day 1 event called “The $250 Frenzy,” which has its own jaw-dropping guarantee of $200,000.

The 2014 WPT Montreal will again be a televised event, with a $3,850 buy-in and three Day 1s (next-day reentry format). This five-day event has become one of the most popular stops on the WPT tour, and for the first time, this year’s event will wrap up before Thanksgiving in the US. The whole festival has been moved one week forward out of consideration for the American visitors and one of their most important holidays of the year.

As if that’s not enough, there is also a $10,400 High Roller tournament on the schedule. Last year’s High Roller attracted nearly 60 players and saw Swedish 2014 November Niner Martin Jacobson narrowly lose to Dutch master Govert Metaal, who took the top prize and the belt.

All in all, if you love poker you’re going to adore the 2014 Playground Poker Fall Classic including the WPT Montreal. The action runs from November 9-27, only at Playground Poker Club, Canada’s Premier Poker Destination.
