Jerry "Perrymejsen" Ödeen now has over $2.7 million in online poker tournament cashes.
Sweden's Jerry "Perrymejsen" Ödeen was the biggest winner in Sunday tournaments at 888poker after taking down The Whale April 2 for $29,117.
The final table included some of online poker's top names including Conor “grandma1954” Beresford (fifth - $8,258) , Rocco "sephir0t" Palumbo (sixth - $6,407) and 888poker Ambassador Dominik "888Dominik" Nitsche (eighth - $3,560).
Ödeen, with over $2.7 million in online poker tournament cashes, is one of the many Swedes to be consistently near the top of the PocketFives Worldwide Online Poker Rankings where he is currently ranked in 18th place in the world and ninth in his home country.
On the same day, an even more successful Swedish poker player, Johannes "TrollKonst8" Korsar, won the second biggest prize of the month after shipping The Mega Deep for $28,883.
Korsar is currently ranked in 12th place in the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings and sixth in his home country. He has amassed an amazing $9.3 million in online poker earnings.
The following week, Australian poker player Stevan "poker_mom74" Chew was among the big winners by shipping The Baby Whale for $19,350.
Other big winners in August included Peru's Ewald "HUEHUAHUEHUA" Mahr Olivera shipping The Sunday Challenge for $15,581 on April 23 and United Kingdom's Jonathan "JohnFoot" Proudfoot winning The Mega Deep for $22,668.
