US Online Sunday Briefing: Daniel Lupo Final Tables Two Big Tournaments for $28K

The Online Championships is in its last week at WSOP.com in both New Jersey and Nevada. The festival features 124 action-packed tournaments with $3 million in guaranteed prizes from June 1 until July 1.

The other American-regulated online poker rooms did not host any special tournaments or festivals but did offer its usual array of big Sunday tournaments.

Here's a full look at the Sunday results at the American-regulated online poker rooms partypoker NJ, BorgataPoker.com, PlayMGM, WSOP.com NJ, WSOP.com Nevada, 888poker NJ, and the three 888poker clients in Delaware:

The OC #93 - $22,222 NLH Warmup was the first of four Online Championships events to kick off at WSOP.com in Nevada and New Jersey on Sunday. The tournament easily surpassed its $22,222 guarantee with 663 entrants, 1,473 rebuys at $11 each, and 346 add-ons at $22 to generate a $28,280 prize pool.

A total of 125 players cashed for a minimum of $48.

After nearly 7 1/2 hours of play, "NoMAMMESwEY" shipped the tournament for a healthy return of $6,646. Also at the final table was New Jersey's Michael "LeftSid3" Haberman Jr, who added to his $1.1 million in American-regulated online poker tournament cashes with a seventh-place finish for $877.

The OC #94 - $100,000 NLH Sunday attracted 394 entrants and 183 rebuys to create a $173,100 prize pool, the largest of the day. A total of 60 players at least doubled their $320 buy-in with a min-cash worth $710.

"Martillo1978" shipped the tournament after eight hours of play to win the biggest prize of the week of $43,275.

Meanwhile, Daniel "centrfieldr" Lupo, who finished fifth in this tournament last week for $8,081, more than tripled last week's performance after finishing runner-up this week for $24,234.

Other players at the final table included Daryl "abcDpkr" Black (fifth - $9,521) and Daniel "aintnojoke" Gordon (ninth - $2,597).

Nevada's David "bewater" Goodman shipped the $25,000 Weekly Sunday in back-to-back weeks after more than 4 1/2 hours of play. It has been quite the run for Goodman the past two weeks. Last Sunday, he shipped the OC #66 - $100,000 NLH Sunday for $36,797 and is now approaching $1 million in career online cashes including almost $400,000 alone at WSOP.com.

New Jersey's Matthew "Mendey" Mendez also appeared at the six-max final table, bowing out in fifth place for $3,736.

A handful of players outside of the final table also cashed with 10 players earning at least $1,308.

The Sunday Special $35,000 Gtd squeaked past its new guarantee after attracting 191 entrants (107 entries + 84 reentries) to generate a $35,526 prize pool. A total of 27 players were guaranteed took home at least a min-cash worth $355.

After more than 6 1/2 hours of play, Anthony "FlawlessBINK" Maio shipped the tournament for $7,638 for his second win of the day.
