US Online Sunday Briefing: Summer Series Returns to PokerStars NJ

Numbers were down at WSOP.com with players around the world returning home from Las Vegas after the conclusion of the World Series of Poker. That being said, all guarantees of major tournaments were met not only at WSOP.com but at all other networks as well.

The turnout at PokerStars NJ was assisted with the return of the Summer Series. The festival features 12 action-packed tournaments from July 22-29 with more than $300,000 in combined guaranteed prize pools.

The highlight of the festival will come next week with the $400 Summer Series Main Event boasting a $80,000 guarantee.

Here's a full look at the Sunday results at the American-regulated online poker rooms partypoker NJ, BorgataPoker.com, PlayMGM, WSOP.com NJ, WSOP.com Nevada, 888poker NJ, and the three 888poker clients in Delaware:

The $15,000 Kick-off was the first major event to get underway at WSOP.com in Nevada and New Jersey on Sunday. The tournament attracted 132 entrants, 130 rebuys, and 68 add-ons to generate a $15,015 prize pool with a total of 25 players cashing for a minimum of $180.

After almost 5 1/2 hours of play, "RomeoJ" shipped the event for a healthy return of $4,129.

New Jersey's Robert "SLHalper" Tayor, who took fourth place in the event last week finished in seventh place this week for $586. Meanwhile, last week's winner Bobby "bcmclawh" McLawhorn, finished one spot behind in eighth place for $375.

After almost 5 1/2 hours of play, "EuroScarfz" outlasted a field of 113 entrants and 48 rebuys to win the WSOP.com $10,000 Weekly Sunday for $4,102. A total of 20 players cashed for a minimum of $234.

Just outside the winner's circle were Jason "LuckDuck" Lawhun (second - $2,373) and Michael "itWasThatOr0" Galgiano (fourth - $1,070). Current top ranked player in New Jersey according to PocketFives Daniel "centrfieldr" Lupo, who last week finished in seventh place in this event, finished one spot higher in sixth place for $777.

Also at the final table were Andrew "smaulerg" Glauberg finishing in seventh place for $615 and Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja bowing out in eighth place for $410.

The prize pool declined significantly from the $146,700 generated last week with 284 entrants and 107 rebuys to creating a $117,300 prize pool. A total of 40 players secured at least a min-cash worth $645.

After more than nine hours of play, "JoelEmbiid21" shipped the tournament for a huge top prize of $30,498.

New Jersey's Michael "LeftSid3" Haberman Jr. added to his more than $1.1 million in online cashes at American regulated online poker networks with his first five-figure online tournament cash of the year with a third-place finish for $10,322.

Meanwhile, Jason "LuckDuck" Lawhun earned his second mention in this report with an eighth-place performance worth $2,815.
