Who will win this week's Super MILLION$? Watch the final table action here!
The Super MILLION$ final table is usually played nine-handed, but a double elimination at the end of Day 1 means only eight return for the finale. Simon Mattsson min-raised to 100,000 with pocket nines under the gun on a five-handed table. Thomas Muehloecker three-bet all-in for 1,627,822 with king-five of clubs, and Patrick Leonard called all-in for 295,910 with pocket jacks. Mattsson called off the rest of his stack, only for Muehoecker to spike a king on the flop, busting Mattsson in tenth and Leonard in ninth.
McLeod, who cracked Joakim Andersson’s aces to bust the money bubble, sits down at the final table with 3,567,050 chips, or 89.2 big blinds. The Canadian secured his seat in the Super MILLIONS via a $1,050 satellite and now has the chance of reeling in his largest GGPoker score; he needs fifth or better to manage that.
Muehloecker is the man in second place at the restart; is this the week the Austrian finally wins the Super MILLION$? Muehloecker was the runner up on November 7, and this is his eighth final table of Season 2. He is consistent if nothing else.
Third place with 1,860,167 chips if former Super MILLION$ champion Andras Nemeth. Nemeth won this event on August 8 for $325,957, which is one of the reasons he has more than $9.1 million in earnings at GGPoker alone. Nemeth could be a solid bet in the final table betting market with odds of 5.95 (+495).
China’s "Jerome001" is another finalist who won their seat in a $1,050 satellite. This is the third time Jerome001 has played in a Super MILLION$ event, but this is the first time they have finished in the money places. Even if they bust out first, Jerome001 walks away with an impressive $50,435, which is a healthy return on a $1,050 satellite investment.
The chess grandmaster that is Estonia’s Ottomar Ladva returns in fifth place with 1,433,240 chips. Ladva has played in 14 Super MILLION$ this season, cashing in six, and has now reached his third final table. Two of those final table appearances have ended with Ladva at the top of the pile, will he make it a hat trick of victories this evening?
LittleMonk Goes For Back-to-Back Super MILLION$ Titles
Netherlands’ "LittleMonk" won this tournament last week and is back in the thick of it this week. Despite winning $298,113 for their sins last week, LittleMonk decided to buy into a $1,050 satellite instead of buying in direct for $1,050. That satellite turned into a seat, which is now their second final table in as many weeks. The Dutch star sits down armed with 1,011,795 chips, or 25.3 big blinds.
Mexico-based "Butchie" is completely new to GGPoker, so this is only their second cash. They finished fourth in a $525 Bounty Hunters event for $1,567, now they have a chance of banking a six-figure score. They have a war chest of 761,492 chips or 19 big blinds.
Lucas Greenwood is the player bringing up the rear with 648,233 chips, 16.2 big blinds. Greenwood won the Super MILLION in August 2020 for a whopping $539,805 but has not reached a final table since. He has managed to do so this week, but has a lot of work ahead of him if he wants to win again.
