Hot-Running Nemeth Captures Third GGPoker Super MILLION$ Title
Andras Nemeth is the latest GGPoker player to win a trio of Super MILLION$ titles after he walked away with the title and the $295,534 top prize in this week's $10,300 buy-in event. Nemeth played excellently and also enjoyed plenty of luck, which is a deadly combination in high-stakes tournament poker.

It took slightly less than 30-minutes of playing poker before the final table saw the first player heading to the rail. Blinds were 17,500/35,000/4,500a when Tyler "TheRayGuy" Cornell opened to 70,000 from the cutoff, Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb three-bet all-in from the button for 1,012,500, only for Daniel "Tourmination" Petersen to cold-call the shove from the big blind. Cornell passed pocket eights, leaving Gottlieb's ace-five of hearts to go up against Petersen's queens. The board ran out without any drama, and Gottlieb was gone.
Cornell was the next player who busted. Marcelo Asensio min-raised to 80,000 from the button, Cornell three-bet all-in for 887,197 with pocket sizes in the small blind, and Nemeth moved all-in from the big blind with suited ace-jack. Asensio got out of the way, and the five community cards fell with an ace on the turn to resign Cornell to an eighth-place finish.
The final seven became six with the elimination of Paulo "Agorist" Brombin. The action folded to Patrick "chrisbenoit" Brooks in the small blind, and he opened large enough to set Brombin in for the 4.5 big blinds he had left after paying the big blind. Brombin gambled with jack-seven of clubs, and was not in that bad shape against Brooks' pocket nines. Brooks' nines held, and Brombim busted.
Brombim's fellow Brazilian Asensio saw his tournament end in a sixth-place finish; Asensio collected $85,851, the tournament's final five-figure score. Asensio opened to 150,000 from the small blind with six-five of spades, a raise three times the big blind. Nemeth called from the big blind with six-trey of clubs, and the flop fell trey-king-five with two clubs. Asensio fired a 110,000 continuation bet that Nemeth called. The turn was an offsuit six, and it was now obvious why all the chips ended up in the middle. Asensio bet 361,400 into the 556,000 pot, Nemeth put in a sizeable raise, and Asensio called off the 1,209,796 chips he had behind. The four of clubs peeled off on the river, gifting a near 3.7 million pot to Nemeth, who was by far the chip leader with only five players remaining.
Canada's Jamil Wakil never managed to get out of second gear at the final table and finished in fifth place, the position they sat down in. Wakil's exit hand came after he raised to 392,000 from under the gun, leaving himself 422,206 chips behind at the 35,000/70,000/8,500a level. Brooke three-bet all-in for 1,305,321 from the next seat along, and Wakil called off the last of his chips. Wakil's hopes rested on ace-jack improving against Brooks' queens, but that was made less likely by Nemeth folding ace-jack, too. Brooks turned a set to leave Wakil drawing dead.
Mark Radoja's wait to win the GGPoker Super MILLION$ continues for at least another week because he bowed out in fourth place. Radoja's final hand essentially played itself. He open-shoved for a shade under 12 big blinds from the button with king-jack of spades, and Petersen called in the big blind with ace-queen. No jack or king landed on the board, and Radoja was done.
Three-handed play only lasted around 15-minutes but the blinds increase every ten hands instead of on a timer, so they were 50,000/100,000/12,500a when Nemeth min-raised to 200,000 on the button with ace-ten. Petersen three-bet to 1,050,000 with pocket eights in the small blind before calling off then 887,657 he had behind when Nemeth pushed all-in. The door card was an ace, and it proved enough to send the tournament into the heads-up stage.
Nemeth went into the one-on-one clash with Brooks holding a 9,309,881 to 4,290,119 lead and he never relinquished that lead. The final hand of this Super MILLION$ saw Nemeth limp in with eight-six, then call when Brooks raised to 420,000 with pocket aces in the hole. Both players checked the four-eight-queen flop, leading to an rainbow deuce on the turn. Brooks tested the waters with a 660,000 bet, which Nemeth called. The river was another eight, gifting Nemeth trips. Brooks slowed down and checked. Nemeth paused before over-betting the pot, setting Brooks in for seven big blinds more than the pot. Brooks called, saw the bad news, and consoled himself with the runner-up prize of $230,800.
Meanwhile, Nemeth banked $295,534 and his third Super MILLION$ title.
