Brilliant Badziakouski Binks the WCOOP $25K Super High Roller ($426,748)

It is only a month ago since the brilliant Belarusian Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski won the €100,000 EPT Barcelona Super High Roller for a second time, an impressive result that saw Badziakouski add €1,979,220 to his bankroll. Now he has triumphed in one of the toughest online poker tournaments, taking down the $25,500 Super High Roller at the 2022 PokerStars World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP).

Forty unique entrants purchased 16 re-entries among them, creating a $1,373,400 prize pool as a result. Only the final seven players received their cut of that seven-figure pot, so spare a moment of your time to think about Eelis "EEE27" Parssinen, who saw his tournament end abruptly in eighth place, thus bursting the massive money bubble.

With Finland's Parssinen out of the way and the money bubble well and truly popped, the final seven players got busy bringing the tournament to a conclusion.

Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker saw his $25,000 Super High Roller end in a seventh-place finish worth $59,768, before David "dpeters17" Peters busted in sixth for $82,938. Each of the surviving players had now locked up six figure sums and were only four eliminations from becoming the Super High Roller's worthy champion.

Hungarian star Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas came unstuck in fifth place for $115,090, with Linus "LLinusLLove" Loeliger bowing out in fourth and receiving $159,706 for his efforts. Canada's Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois could not progress deeper than third, a finish worth $221,618, leaving Badziakouski heads-up against Aleksejs "APonakov" Ponakovs.

Both Badziakouski and Ponakovs are regulars in the Super High Roller world, with the latter defeating the legendary Phil Ivey in the $100,000 buy-in event at the 2022 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas earlier in the year. Ponakovs had to make do with a runner-up finish this time around as Badziakouski bulldozed his way to victory and the $426,748 top prize. Ponakovs licked his wounds with the help of a $307,530 consolation prize.

Novak Nullifies the Opposition in the $2,100 Super Tuesday

Andrey "Anjeyyy" Novak had never won a WCOOP title before entering the $2,100 Super Tuesday, although he did have a pair of Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) victories under his belt. Novak got the proverbial WCOOP monkey off his back by coming out on top of a 291-strong crowd in WCOOP 71-M: $2,100 NLHE Super Tuesday; he walked away with $111,090 to show for his maiden WCOOP gong.

Any of the nine finalists would have made a worth champion, but the night belonged to Novak. After the likes of Christopher "lissi stinkt" Frank, British PLO specialist Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane, and the Flying Finn Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden crashed by the wayside, Novak found himself heads-up against "roo_420" of Canada. You may recall "roo_420" won the $2,100 World Championship of 8-Game a couple of days ago, denying Joao "Naza114" Vieira yet another major title. "roo_420" had to settle for second place in the $2,100 Super Tuesday, which came with $83,231 reasons to be happy. However, Novak captured his first WCOOP title in style, and added $111,090 to his lifetime winnings balance.

Extasyman Wins Second WCOOP Title 11-Years After Their First

They say the best things come to those who wait, and Romania's "extasyman" is testament to that phrase. The Romanian won a WCOOP title some 11 years ago, and now has WCOOP title number two after outlasting 2,287 opponents in the $215 buy-in Super Tuesday.

The victory came with $67,560 of the $457,600 prize pool, a princely sum awarded after extasyman defeated Poland's "FloweerBoy" heads-up, resigning the runner-up to a $48,158 score. Extasyman now has a pair of WCOOP titles in addition to a Sunday Million victory, an impressive haul, to say the least.
