"bucurestean" Wins 888poker $100K Mystery Bounty as Summer Sale Kicks Off

Romania's "bucurestean" is more than $8,300 richer than a few days ago after they navigated past 962 opponents in the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event online at 888poker.
The Romanian grinder reached the eight-handed final table with the chip lead, although their stack only contained eight big blinds more than second-placed "t0nyshark." Finland's "Kalamaaan" brought up the rear with a 12 big blind stack.
Although the champion scooped $8,347 for their victory, Brazil's "maOiiii" walked away with the largest prize of all. Courtesy of banking a $10,000 jackpot bounty, "maOiiii" took home $11,156 despite busting in 15th place.

It took only 2.5 hours from the first cards being pitched at the final table to the champion being crowned.
"ZeiKo"'s time at the final table was limited. They sat down second last in chips but were the first player out of the door, three-bet shoving for ten big blinds with ace-five of diamonds only to run straight into the dominating ace-ten of hearts of "bucurestean."
A steady flow of eliminations followed. "Kalamaan" of Finland was next to hit the rail, "EDY14101" of Andorra joined the list of busted players, befoe "ovomaltino" busted in fifth to leave only four players in the hunt for the title of champion.
Those four became three when "LiQuidZeRo" then two with the untimely exit of "t0nyshark," who had been nursing a short stack for some time.
"bucurestean" went into the heads-up clash with "FRENTEXXy" trailing but ultimately came out on top t take home $8,347, leaving the runner-up to pad their 888poker bankroll with $6,595.
