The $10,400 GG Million$ at the 2025 Onyx Super High Roller Series, presented by Onyx Club, has crowned its first champion as Lebanon’s Moussa Ahmad claimed the trophy, and the $1,000,000 top prize. Ahmad topped a field of 510 entries at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa, becoming the inaugural winner of this new high-stakes series.
Ahmad outlasted a tough final table before defeating Canada’s Jamil Wakil in a heads-up duel that spanned only one level. Wakil earned $650,000 for his runner-up finish, while Austria’s Stefan Kiwisch took home the third-place prize.
The win marked a career-best result for Ahmad and put him in the top spot on the Onyx Player of the Series leaderboard, where the eventual champion will receive a $110,000 Triton Poker Jeju package.

Ahmad's Path to Victory
Ahmad began the day in the middle of the pack but wasted little time climbing the leaderboard. Early on, he three-bet Kiwisch with a weak ace and managed to get Kiwisch to release an overpair on a low flop. Soon after, he found a perfect spot against Peng Chen, defending the big blind with four-deuce and flopping a wheel. A big river bet earned maximum value against Chen’s top pair and closed the gap on leader Wakil.
Not long after, China's Weiran Pu shoved ace-queen over Ahmad’s open, only to run into his Big Slick. The board offered no help to Pu, giving Ahmad his first knockout of the day and the chip lead with seven players remaining.
After the eliminations of Ohad Geiger in sixth and Chen in fifth, Ahmad was back in the mix against Kiwisch. This time, Kiwisch’s big river bet with six-high got Ahmad to fold the best hand, and the Austrian proudly turned over the bluff. The celebration was short-lived, as in the very next hand, Ahmad won those chips back, and more, shoving the turn and forcing Kiwisch to lay down a hand with a lot of equity.
Krasmir Yankov, who had been the master of survival throughout the tournament, was next to fall to Ahmad. He got it in ahead with king-nine against Ahmad’s jack-nine, but a jack on the flop sealed his fate in fourth place, with Ahmad now holding more than half the chips in play.
Moments later, Kiwisch joined him on the rail after the dealer delivered a deuce on the river to send him out in third, setting up a heads-up match with Wakil.
Ahmad started heads-up with nearly a 4:1 chip advantage, but Wakil instantly doubled through Ahmad with trip jacks to narrow the gap. Ahmad proposed a deal to Wakil, but Wakil preferred to play only for the final hand to arrive immediately after.
In the last hand of the tournament, Ahmad called a three-bet preflop with eight-three of clubs, then shoved over Wakil’s continuation-bet on a jack-high board. Wakil’s pocket tens were ahead until the river brought a club, completing Ahmad’s flush and making him the GG Million$ champion.
