WSOP Circuit Heading to Council Bluffs for 18 Ring Events in September

The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) is heading to Council Bluffs, Iowa, for an 18-ring series in September that includes a $1,700 Main Event.
All the action will take place at Horseshoe Council Bluffs, a regular home for WSOPC events. Play begins Sept. 4 along the Missouri River, just across the river from Omaha, Nebraska. The series, which features two multi-flight events and two seniors events, will conclude Sept. 15 in the Hawkeye State.
Council Bluffs Series Highlights
The WSOP Circuit series at Horseshoe starts with two ring events on Sept. 4, beginning with the $400 Double Stack at 11 a.m. A $400 No-Limit Hold'em Black Chip Bounty tournament will run at 4 p.m. on the same day.
There will be a $400 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Main starting on the following day, with the first of three opening flights kicking off at 11 a.m. The second Day 1 session takes place at 4 p.m., and Day 1c is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sept. 6.
The two seniors events, both $400 No-Limit Hold'em, run on Sept. 8 and Sept. 14. There are two non-NLH ring events on the schedule, and those are $400 Pot-Limit Omaha (Sept. 8) and $400 PLO 8 or Better (Sept. 9).
Buy-ins in this series range from $400 to $1,700, with the second largest buy-in tournament — $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em — running Sept. 11. But the biggest event of the series, the $1,700 WSOP Circuit Main Event, begins Sept. 10. There are two Day 1 flights scheduled, one at 11 a.m. on Sept. 10, and the other at the same time the following day.
Scott Allacher is the Main Event defending champion, having taken the ring down last September for $83,865, beating out 259 entrants.
The 2025 edition of the WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Council Bluffs series will conclude with the 18th and final ring event on Sept. 15 — $400 No-Limit Hold'em Closer.
