Final Day Action
The final table started with eight players, that had Guilherme Barroso Sole atop of the chip counts, with Nus just a few big blinds behind.
After the departures of Pedro Navio, Luis Martín and Luis Miguel López, ICM deal was proposed but Marcos Cuesta rejected it and asked each opponent for an extra €1,500. The table declined and action resumed.
Carlos Gutiérrez and David Rivas exited in fourth and fifth place respectively, opening the door for more deal negotiations. This time, Cuesta was able to find terms he agreed with, locking up €96,350, while Nus and Barroso each guaranteed themselves payouts of €104,060 and €87,590.
Nus led with three players remaining and secured his heads-up duel with Barroso after his king-ten rivered a pair to send out Cuesta.
The final hand came shortly before the room closed. Nus completed the small blind and Barroso checked to see a J♥4♠3♥ flop. Both checked the K♥ turn. The river was the 7♣ and Barroso bet 5 million. Nus moved all in and Barroso called with J♣5♠ for top pair but Nus showed 10♥6♥ for a flush to close out the Grand Final.
