It was a weekend of mixed emotions for Brazilian soccer sensation Neymar Jr. After completing the full 90 minutes in Santos' 1-0 victory over Atletico Mineiro on Saturday, Neymar fired up PokerStars on Sunday for a poker tournament session.

The $5,200 Titans Event was one of the tournaments Neymar entered. He navigated his way to the final table, leaving the likes of Guillaume "Nolet20" Nolet, Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane, Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos, and Alexandros "Pwndidi" Theologis in his wake. However, with only 40 entrants, only the top five finishers were paid.

Unfortunately for Neymar and his legion of supporters, he crashed out in sixth place, bursting the bubble and narrowly missing out on a $15,206 score. Although Neymar wasn't among the in-the-money finishers, the final five still had much star quality.

"drew.derzh" fell in fifth for $15,206 with Niklas "Lena900" Astedt busting in fourth for $24,639. Slovenia's Igor "Garrin4e" Yaroshevskyy then crashed out in third for $36,282, which left Iago "stek94" Botelho heads-up against Belarusian "PhlsFgg."

"PhlsFgg" got the job done in their one-on-one clash and helped themselves to a $73,348 score, leaving Botelho to collect a $50,523 runner-up prize.

Later in the evening, Neymar found himself deep in the $1,050 Sunday High Roller 8-Max PKO. He sailed through the bubble and navigated to the star-studded final table. Such luminaries as Felipe "lipe piv" Boianovsky, Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen, Theologis, and "SerVlaMin" fell by the wayside, leaving only a trio of hopefuls gunning for the title.

Nemyar advanced to heads-up when "PopAShush" bowed out in third place. The Brazilian ace faced "IgammiI€120" for the title and the lion's share of the $84,000 prize pool. However, it wasn't meant to be for Neymar, and he ultimately had to make do with a bittersweet second-place finish worth $11,877.
