The latest 888poker $80,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event is done and dusted. This week's $109 buy-in tournament drew in a 779-strong crowd, and Germany's "mr.diego97" emerged victoriously after two days of intense poker action. Their reward? $7,842 and the title of champion.
"mr.diego79" advanced to the eight-handed final table fourth in chips, with 34 big blinds at their disposal. They won a few sizeable pots early into the final table action, and then never dropped lower than second in chips before coming out on top and claiming the title.
All of the big mystery bounties had been claimed on Day 1, including an $8,000 jackpot bounty now in the 888poker account of "BandeDePitre." Two of the finalists had banked four-figure bounties on the first day's play: "mr.diego97" entered the final table with $1,073 worth of bounties while "cologne97" was already $3,996 to the good.

| 7 | Mayanking | Guernsey | $200 | 994,994 | 22 |
| 8 | Malte64 | Sweden | $0 | 479,054 | 11 |
Sweden's "Malte64" was the first of the eight finalists to head for the exits. They were down to a little over five big blinds when they three-bet all-in with king-jack on the button. "cologne97," the original raiser, called with ace-seven of diamonds, and ace-high was good enough to claim the first scalp of the evening.
"Mayanking" crashed out 15 minutes after "Malte64" busted. "Start-of-the-day chip leader "c0rbl1meyguv" opened to 2.5x in middle position with pocket jacks, "KARNA1983" called in the cutoff with pocket threes, and "Mayanking" called on the button with ace-jack. A jack-high flop saw "c0rbl1meyguv" lead, "KARNA1983" fold and "Mayanking" raise. "c0rbl1meyguv" moved all-in with their top set, and "Mayanking" called off the 14 big blinds they had behind. "Mayanking" was drawing dead on the turn.
Ukraine's "Tsokhla" saw their stack dwindle to around 13 big blinds, and they committed that short stack with pocket fours. "c0rbl1meyguv" called in the big blind with queen-six and was rewarded with a runner-runner straight after the at-risk player flopped a set.
Another Ukrainian, "Arrivider4i," bowed out a few hands after "Tsokhla" had been eliminated. They open-shoved for 12 big blinds in the cutoff with pocket nines. Just as it looked like they would collect the blinds and antes, "KARNA1983" woke up in the big blind with pocket kings and, obviously, called. The kings held, and the Mystery Bounty main Event was down to only four players after 30 minutes of action.
A tournament-defining hand went down shortly after the players returned from a scheduled break. "diego97" and "c0rbl1meyguv" clashed in pot where "mr.diego97" flopped trip aces and improved to quads on the river, while "c0rbl1meyguv" hit a full house when the third community ace appeared. Although "c0rbl1meyguv" somehow didn't go broke, they were left with only 13 big blinds after calling a raise on the river.
"c0rbl1meguv" managed to claw their way back into contention, only for them to miss a myriad of outs with ace-five of hearts against "cologne97"'s pocket three, which left them with six big blinds. That micro-stack went into the middle with jack-ten against "the ace-seven of "mr.diego97" and the rest is history.
The tournament wrapped up less than 30 minutes later.
First, "cologne97" crashed out just before the second scheduled break. They moved all-in for 12 big blinds with king-deuce of spades and lost to the ace-five of "KLARNA1983."
The one-on-one battle saw the chip lead exchange hands several times, but "mr.diego97" went into the break with a 55.7 to 27.8 big blind advantage. The stacks ended up level before "mr.diego97" forged a big lead for themselves.
The final hand saw "mr.diego97" raise with five-four, and "KARNA1983" call with seven-six. An eight-ace-four flop saw "KARNA1983" check-call a small bet. An offsuit queen on the turn saw both players check, leading to another eight on the river. "KARNA1983" decided to over-bet shove 12.3 big blinds into the 8.7 big blind pot on a stone-cold bluff. "mr.diego97" went deep into the tank before emerging with a call, a call that crowned them the 888poker Mystery Bounty Main Event champion.
