Table Of Contents
We still have a couple of months left of 2026 but that has not stopped the Irish Poker Open, Europe's longest-running poker tournament festival, from announcing the dates and schedule of the 2027 Irish Poker Open.
The Royal Dublin Society again hosts the Irish Poker Open, doing so between March 18-29. During those dates, 48 numbered events take place, a fitting number, seeing how 2027 is the 48th year of the ever-popular Irish Poker Open.
Paul O'Reilly, the Irish Open co-owner, can't wait to see thousands of poker players descend on the Emerald Isle.
"With St. Patrick's Day taking place the day before the 2027 Irish Open, next year's event really is unmissable. People come from all over the world to watch the St Paddy's Day parade – it's the perfect opening Ceremony for the Irish Poker Open. The world gets one Paddy's Day, but the Irish Open players are going to get 13!"
2027 Irish Poker Open Full Schedule
Last year's Irish Open Dublin festival saw more than 32,000 entries processed and over €15.5 million awarded. An impressive €4,852,910 of that sum was paid to those finishing in the money in the €1,150 Main Event. Romania's Narcis Nedelcu clinched the title and took home €336,798 after a five-way deal.
Like last year, the 2027 Irish Open Main Event boasts a €2,500,000 prize pool for a €1,150 buy-in. With the festival being held in partnership with PokerStars, Paddy Power, and the iPoker Network, there's every chance that last year's incredible 5,003 record-breaking attendance will be beaten.
More than 1,600 entrants won their Irish Open Main Event seats via online satellites. This year's online satellites look set to start from a mere €1.
Two €1 Million Guaranteed Events
While the €2,500,000-guaranteed Irish Open Main Event is the tournament everyone heading to Dublin in March 2027 wants to win, there are two other events with a €1 million guarantee on their prize pools.
The first of those seven-figure guarantees is up for grabs during the first event of the 2027 Irish Open.
At 12:00 p.m. on March 18, the first of five €1,150 Luxon Mystery Bounty Day 1s shuffles up and deals. The same event in 2026 saw 1,175 entries processed and a €1,139,750 prize pool created. Tudor Lazar came out on top and received €110,700, including bounties.
The other €1 million guaranteed Irish Open tournament is the €250 Mini Irish Open. It features 14 flights starting from 6:00 p.m. on March 18. Last year's Mini Irish Open saw 7,349 entrants and a €1,532,634 prize pool. Luxembourg's Sami Agel is the reigning champion. He defeated David Penly after a heads-up deal and banked €150,855, leaving Penly to scoop €117,195.
