Turn £550 Into a Share of £6M with the partypoker MILLIONS
Only one month after announcing the launch of the partypoker MILLIONS, a £550 buy in tournament with a massive £5 millon guaranteed prize pool, partypoker has upped the ante and boosted the guarantee to £6 million, of which £1 million is reserved for the eventual partypoker MILLIONS champion.

Simon Trumper, the tournament director of the MILLIONS, explained how adding £1 million to the guarantee allows all players who reach Day 4 to be paid at least £5,000 while increasing the number of places paid from 135 to 279.
“With a £550 Day 1 buy in and a £5,300 Day 2 buy-in, the payout must be attractive to both player bankrolls," he said. "Rob Yong asked me to work out a way that we could pay all players who make Day 4 but keep first prize at £1,000,000. Increasing the guarantee to £6,000,000 allows this plus makes the event more player friendly for our international partners who intend to run Days 1-3 at their venues.”
Online satellites are running right now at partypoker with buy-ins starting at a mere $0.01. Until further notice, online Day1s to the partypoker MILLIONS will take place every Tuesday evening, costing $635 (£550) to enter. Players in the online Day 1s receive 100,000 tournament chips and play for 14 levels. At the end of the 14th level, any player with chips remaining progresses to Day 2. The first 100 players to qualify for Day 2 receive their £550 buy-in back in cash as a bonus.
Players are permitted to play several Day 1s, and if they make it through to Day 2 more than once, they can then play in more than one Day 2. Also, it is possible to buy into Day 2 directly for £5,300; doing so buys a stack of 1,000,000 chips.
