POWERFEST Returns to partypoker with $60 Million in Guaranteed Prizes

Poker players around the world are fired up for the return of POWERFEST at partypoker on Sept. 2-23.

The festival will be the biggest in its history with 670 events and more than $60 million in guaranteed prize pools. To put this into perspective, the last POWERFEST in May featured a much smaller schedule of 366 events and $40 million in guarantees.

The schedule has something for everyone with buy-ins ranging from $1.10 to $25,500. The events are broken down into six categories based on their buy-in; with Micro, Low, Medium, High, High Rollers and Super High Rollers.

A total of 20 events are designated Championship Events with 15 of them featuring at least $1 million guarantees. The winner of each of these special tournaments will be awarded a trophy in addition to what should be a massive cash prize. The biggest Championship Event is the $25,500 Super High Roller on Sept. 20 with a mouth-watering $3 million guaranteed prize pool.

There will be plenty of opportunities for players to get into any POWERFEST event at a fraction of a cost with tons of satellite and feeder tournaments running around the clock.

Four POWERFEST Promotions

As if playing in POWERFEST with its tournaments featuring huge guarantees and great structure isn't enough, partypoker is also hosting four POWERFEST promotions to provide even more value.

Jackpot Sit & Go's

One amazing promotion will be a special-edition of Sit & Go Jackpot tournaments from Aug. 14 until Sept. 23. If you aren't familiar with Sit & Go Jackpot, they are a three-max hyper turbo tournament where the prize pool is randomly determined after all three players are registered and before the first hand is deal.

The special Sit & Go Jackpot tournaments for POWERFEST will allow players to potentially win a POWERFEST ticket valued at $5,200 for just a $2.50 buy-in. There are other POWERFEST tickets and prizes that also can be won.

$50,000 fastforward Rake Race

If you enjoy grinding cash games, you should try to grind especially hard from Aug. 23 to Sept. 1 where partypoker will be awarding $50,000 in POWERFEST tickets in its $50,000 fastfoward Rake Race.

The promotion is broken out into Low, Mid, and High leaderboards, meaning that lower stakes players won't be competing against higher stakes players. One leaderboard point is awarded for every $1 in rake contributed making it easy to understand how to climb the ranks.

A total of 600 players will be awarded POWERFEST tickets in this amazing promotion with the biggest grinder on the High leaderboard walking away with a $5,200 ticket.

Power Hour

Ring game players are not only awarded in a huge way before POWERFEST, but also while the festival takes place. A designated Power Hour takes place every day during POWERFEST where players can earn double the cashback points they normally would.

The Power Hour takes place each day at 5 p.m. BST to 6 p.m. BST except for Sundays when it is from 3 p.m. BST to 4 p.m. BST.

Weekly Leaderboards

partypoker is also hosting four weekly POWERFEST leaderboards where players can win big money by playing tournaments.

The first leaderboard takes place before POWERFEST on Aug. 27 to Sept. 2 where players earn leaderboard points by Power Series tournaments barring satellites and ladies events. The other three leaderboards, players can only earn points in POWERFEST events.

The leaderboard will award a total of $60,000 in prizes with some players walking away with a free ticket to the $5,300 MILLIONS Online featuring a record-breaking $20 million guarantee.
