Axel Bayout is a French poker player hailing from Marseille. He is best known for becoming a World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion at the 2024 WSOP Paradise festival. Bayout triumphed in the $2,750 NLHE Mystery Millions event for $532,042 and a WSOP bracelet.
Bayout first appeared in live poker tournament results in November 2019 when he cashed in a low-stakes event in his native France. Indeed, most of Bayout's in-the-money finishes are in France or Czech-based events. Between June 9-24, 2023, Bayout won seven low-stakes tournaments in a row during the TexaPoker Series at Ax En Provence.
His first five-figure prize came in March 2024 at the Asian Poker Tour Taipei series. He finished third in the Mystery Bounty event for the equivalent of $29,782 plus bounty payments.
In June 2024, the Frenchman finished second in the €1,000 Wolf Millionaire event in Rozvadov for €26,835 before finishing third in a €200 German Poker Days Main Event a fortnight later for an additional €28,450.
A runner-up finish in an $800 buy-in event at Aria Las Vegas in July 2024 netted Bayout $67,387. He then reached the final table of the €1,650 NLHE 6-Max event at the 2024 WSOP Europe, finishing sixth for €14,600, and finished second in a €660 NLHE event at Kings Resort for another €19,532.
Bayout won the $2,750 NLHE Mystery Millions Online event, part of the 2024 WSOP Paradise festival. He came out on top and banked a $532,042 prize and his first WSOP bracelet.
