Barbara Akemi is a female Brazilian poker player who is a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner.
According to The Hendon Mob Database, Akemi first cashed in a live poker tournament in November 2019 in her native Brazil.
Akemi's breakout year was undoubtedly 2025, the year she became a WSOP champion. The Brazilian won the $500 Ladies NLH Championship online at GGPoker for $20,537 and her maiden bracelet. Later in the year, she cashed in the $25,000 Super Main Event at the WSOP Paradise festival for $50,000.
In 2026, Akemi fell short of the €5,300 European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona Main Event final table, falling in 10th place for €97,700.
