Biography

Gilles Silbernagel is a French poker player best known for winning the 2026 World Series of Poker Europe €565 COLOSSUS in Prague. He earned €165,000 and his first WSOP bracelet after defeating Shaun Deeb heads-up, denying the American a ninth bracelet in dramatic fashion.

The decisive hand saw Silbernagel make quads with queen-six on a paired board, sealing victory in one of the largest events of the 2026 WSOPE, which attracted 2,662 entries. The win pushed his live tournament earnings past $700,000 and marked his biggest result since 2018.

Silbernagel’s career-best score remains his €200,000 victory at the Italian Poker Open in Campione d’Italia, while he has also recorded deep runs on the European Poker Tour, as well as a third-place finish in the FPS Main Event in Monte Carlo.
