His first five-figure win came in the $1,500 Monster Stack at the 2023 WSOP, where he finished in 38th place for $30,415. Lu made the final table of the WPT Prime Championship at the 2023 WPT World Championships at Wynn Las Vegas. He outlasted a field of 10,516 entries in the $1,100 buy-in to play for the top prize of $1,386,380 on the tournament's final day.
