Biography

Michael Casella is an American poker player and chess master who won his first WSOP bracelet at the 2026 World Series of Poker.

He defeated Nick Schulman heads-up in Event #8: $1,500 Badugi with Scott Seiver finishing third, as he topped a 554-player field to win $141,963.

"I'm relieved," he told PokerNews after his victory. "[Schulman] was all-in so many times, and he's such a good player, so anything can happen. Each time he won, I felt like I could lose at any time."
