Raul Mestre is a Spanish professional poker player, coach, and entrepreneur who has long been regarded as one of the most influential figures in the growth of poker in Spain.
Mestre is the founder of EducaPoker, one of Europe’s earliest poker training platforms, and has mentored a generation of Spanish-speaking players during the online poker boom.
Away from the coaching side of the game, Mestre also built an accomplished tournament career. He first emerged on the live circuit during the early years of the European Poker Tour, making a final table in Prague in 2008 before recording the biggest score of his career with a fourth-place finish in the EPT Barcelona Main Event three years later.
After stepping back from the live tournament scene for several years to focus on family life, business interests, and online cash games, Mestre returned to the international circuit as a member of Team PokerStars. In May 2026, he made a deep run in the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event, making the final table and finishing 7th for just over $150,000.
