Roman Stoica is a Russian poker player with more than $2.6 million in live tournament earnings as of May 2026, according to The Hendon Mob. Stoica has built his results across a mix of EPT, Triton, and high roller events, with his biggest breakthrough coming on the European Poker Tour.
Stoica’s career has steadily climbed over the past few years, with deep runs across multiple stops, including Cyprus, Barcelona, and Monte Carlo. He first emerged on the wider circuit through lower buy-in events in Sochi before stepping into higher buy-in fields from 2024 onwards, quickly adapting to elite-level competition.
His defining result came in May 2026 at the European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Main Event, where he defeated Bernhard Binder heads-up to win €825,000. The victory marked the biggest score of his career and his first major live title, coming after a run of consistent deep finishes across the EPT and beyond.
Stoica’s earlier highlights include a win in the €3,250 Mystery Bounty at EPT Barcelona in 2025 for over €323,000, along with strong runs in Cyprus and on the Triton Poker circuit, including a deep finish in Jeju in 2026. His results across formats have established him as a regular threat in both field-heavy EPT Main Events and tougher high roller lineups.
“I’m a bit tired, but I’m very happy to become a winner of EPT,” Stoica said after his Monte Carlo victory. “The secret is to play and practice as much as you can. That’s what brings you to the final table and winning the tournament.”
