Yori Epskamp is a former (semi-)professional poker player from the Netherlands who currently works for PokerNews. Epskamp discovered poker through the card game Magic the Gathering, making the transition from one card game to another around 2005 similar to peers such as Isaac Haxton, Noah Boeken, and David Williams.
While mostly an online player, Epskamp has amassed over $200,000 in live poker winnings according to The Hendon Mob. In 2010, Epskamp won the €500 NLHE for €37,960 at the Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam.
Epskamp has contributed to PokerNews in Europe in various roles as a poker journalist and live reporter, and is currently overseeing the media content strategy in Europe.
In his spare time, he's an avid runner and likes to dabble in other (card) games such as Hearthstone Battlegrounds and loves to travel to Las Vegas on a regular basis to play poker.
