Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City became the first large license super casino established in the United Kingdom in December 2011 and is still a decade later the largest land-based casino in the country boasting 65,000 square feet.
The casino is conveniently located just steps away from the Stratford tube stop in the British capital of London within the Westfield Stratford City shopping center complex and also houses a dedicated car park.
The casino was shut down per government regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic before reopening in May 2021 with cash games followed by a handful of tournaments per week.
Aspers Casino is no-smoking throughout the facility with a smart casual dress code. Guests have plenty of options for food and drinks including table service and bars located throughout the facility. In addition, players can enjoy a world-class service at the Sky Bar, Clary’s Restaurant, and the Terrace Bar located within the casino complex.
The Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City poker room, which has been sponsored by 888poker for many years, is located within the back of the casino and is one of the largest in Europe with approximately 30 tables with more tables available during festivals outside the dedicated poker room.
The poker room was open 24 hours a day but this has changed as of May 2021 with operating hours of 10 a.m. to 5 a.m. daily.

Before the pandemic, Aspers Casino hosted three tournaments per day with no rake charged. Instead, 15 percent of the prize pool was withheld for a Sunday tournament which awarded either cash prizes or tickets to an upcoming major event.
There were no tournaments immediately available when the casino reopened in May 2021. However, the casino then started hosting two tournaments per week on Tuesdays and Fridays with 20-minute blind levels. This later switched to Fridays and Saturdays.

In addition to the 888poker LIVE, Aspers Casino has hosted many other major festivals including the Super High Roller Bowl, Lex Live 2, the Cash Game Festival, The Hendon Mob Championship, the Unibet Open, the PokerStars LIVE, the British Poker Open, the MPN Poker Tour, and the WPT to name a few.
Other festivals at Aspers Casino include the 2022 Autumn Festival with a £540 buy-in Main Event with a £120,000 guaranteed prize pool. Some events offered at the Autumn festival include a £1,150 buy-in High Roller, a £260 PLO event and a £200 Big Bounty event.
Aspers Casino Cash Game Promotions
Like many casinos, Aspers offers Texas Hold'em High Hand promotions for cash game players.
The top 25 players who have had the best Hold'em hand each month will win a share of the cash pot, so a Royal Flush, straight flush or quads could win you a piece of the promotional pot. The higher a person's hand out of the 25 players, the greater their share of the pot.
