Highlights include a cooler flop between the NBA's Jimmy Butler and Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr., professional streamer Richard Tyler Blevins (AKA Ninja) slow-rolling boxer Ryan Garcia, and an insane hand involving Neymar Jr. and Alan Keating that saw more than $300K change hands after the river was run out an astounding eight times! Meanwhile, the WSOP rolled on by crowning a plethora of bracelet winnings including Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen, who not only won the $100K High Roller but went on to nearly take down the $250K Super High Roller in a week most players can only dream of. Speaking of that SHR, Santhosh Suvarna defeated Ben Tollerene to take down that tournament for $5,415,152 and his second gold bracelet.

Day 28 of the 2024 WSOP will be a rather slow one as no bracelet winners are slated to be crowned. Instead, three new events will get underway, while both Event #54: $1,500 Millionaire Maker and Event #58: $50,000 Poker Players Championship enter their second day.
The 2024 WSOP Millionaire Maker attracted 10,939 entries, but for Day 2 only 2,381 players will return to action. That includes 31 players from the $25K Fantasy including but not limited to Landon Tice (Team Wilson), Brian Yoon (Team Chingas), Adam Hendrix (Team Wilson), Jeremy Becker (Team NGNF), Wing Po Liu (Team Lady Gaga), and Matt Glantz (Team Lucky).

Day 2 of Event #58: $50,000 Poker Players Championship is chock full of $25K Fantasy players, but some not returning were Day 1 eliminations that included Scott Seiver, David “ODB” Baker, Felipe Ramos, Brian Rast, Philip Sternheimer, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Yingui Li, Koray Aldemir, Yuri Dzivielevski, Ben Lamb, and Robert Mizrachi.

The 2024 $25K Fantasy league attracted 19 entrants, which means a $475,000 prize pool is up for grabs. The top four teams will get paid with $225,000 going to the winner. The runner-up team will receive a $125,000 consolation prize, while the third and fourth-place teams will earn $75,000 and $50,000 respectively.
Midway through the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), the Joao Peres of Team Sternheimer has been the top performer amassing 224 points thanks in no small part to hitting two field bonuses in massive no-limit hold’em tournaments. From there, Jeremy Ausmus’s strong year has earned Team Noori 199 points, while Benny Glaser has earned 187 points for the aforementioned Team Sternheimer.
Other strong performers thus far include John Racener (181 points for Team The Dinkers), Scott Seiver (180 points for Team AJ’s Eagles), Calvin Anderson (179 points for Team Sepiol), Chance Kornuth (170 points for Team Livingston), and Adam Hendrix (164 points for Team Wilson).
Philip Sternheimer's team is out on top.
Team The Dinkers (Josh Kay) had a long reign atop the leaderboard until this weekend when Team Sternheimer (Philip Sternheimer) took the lead thanks to big scores from Benny Glaser (5th in Event #45: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship for 61 points), Joao Peres (88 points for finishing 22nd in Event #38: $1,500 Monster Stack), and Chris Vitch (72 points for winning Event #48: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha for his third career gold bracelet).

Additionally, David Coleman has continued his strong year earning 47 points for finishing fourth in Event #31: $3,000 NLH 6-Handed.

On Day 27 of the 2024 WSOP, Event #52: $5,000 6-Handed NLH is down to four players, though none of them are $25K Fantasy players with Jake Schwartz being the last one standing when he finishing in 14th place for $35,671, earning 16 points for Team Oz.
Event #55: $250,000 Super High Roller still has 14 players from a 75-entry field remaining including chip leader Adrian Mateos (Team Lucky), Sean Winter (Team DPMC), Chris Hunichen (Team Kalas), Phil Ivey (Team Sepiol), and Jeremy Ausmus (Team Noori).
In Event #56: Mixed Triple Draw Lowball the field is down to 15 players including Shaun Deeb (Team Lady Gaga) and Chad Eveslage (Team NGNF) as the only two $25K Fantasy players remaining. They sit fourth and seventh in chips respectively.
Ian Matakis was the last $25K player standing in Event #57: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty NLH.
Event #57: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty NLH began with 486 runners but is now down to the final table of nine. Surprisingly, none of them are $25K Fantasy players with Ian Matakis (Team Lang) being the last one standing finishing in 11th place for 14 points.

Event #55: $250,000 Super High Roller still has 19 players from the $25K Fantasy remaining including but not limited to the two chip leaders Sean Winter (Team DPMC) and Adrian Mateos (Team Lucky), Chance Kornuth (Team Livingston), “Texas” Mike Moncek (Team Oz), Nick Schulman (Team Negreanu), and Daniel Negreanu (Team DPMC). The field currently stands at 58 entries, but late reg and re-entries are open for the first two levels of play on Saturday.
