2025 WSOP Day 31: Lindgren Leads $50,000 Poker Players Championship But Lots of Fantasy Players Still In
On Day 31 of the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Event #62: $5,000 6-Handed NLH started with 1,168 runners but only five of them will return for Day 3, though none of them are fantasy players. Likewise, Day 3 of Event #64: $1,000 Super Seniors will have 134 players return to action, but none of them are 25K Fantasy players nor ODB Bonus players.
On the flip side, Day 3 of Event #66: $50,000 Poker Players Championship will see 35 players from a 107-player field return, though only 17 of them will get paid. There are a lot of fantasy players remaining including chip leader Erick Lindgren (Team Negreanu), Ali Eslami (Team Survivor Sweat), Christopher Vitch (Team Phenom), Brian Yoon (Team Hoggers), Christian Roberts (Team Girl Dads), Phil Hellmuth (Team Money Mondays Podcast), Jon Kyte (Team Glue Factory), Ben Lamb (Team Money Mondays Podcast), Bryce Yockey (Team Jeremy’s), Marco Johnson (Team Survivor Sweat), Philip Sternheimer (Team Handsome Horses), Chris Brewer (Team NOVIG), James Obst (Team Australia), Ben Yu (Team Survivor Sweat), Mike Matusow (Team Negreanu), Benny Glaser (Team Dinkers), Mike Gorodinsky (Team Splashy Octopi), Dan Smith (Team Money Mondays Podcast), John Monnette (Team Liaison), Justin Liberto (Team AJ’s Eagles), Joao Vieira (Team Lady Gaga), Esther Taylor (Team Survivor Sweat), Jeremy Ausmus (Team DPMD), Daniel Negreanu (Team Negreanu), Maxx Coleman (Team AJ’s Eagles), Phil Hui (Team Brown’s Bargain Bin), and the short-stacked Matt Glantz (Team Hoggers); as well as, ODB Bonus players Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi and Andrew Yeh.
After Day 1 of Event #68: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em, 641 players from a 1,882-entry field found a bag. Among them are about two dozen fantasy players, including Dan Sepiol (Team Phenom), Dylan Linde (Team BTG), Dong Chen (Team Lady Gaga), Cherish Andrews (Team Glue Factory), and Renan Bruschi (Team Wass).
