On Day 39 of the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Event #78: $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship will play down from the final six players to a winner, though none of them are fantasy players.
After Day 2 of Event #82: $10,000 Eight Game Mixed Championship, the 198-entry field is down to the final 13 players, including Thomas Taylor (Team Liaison) and Jon Turner (Team Negreanu), who sit first and second in chips, respectively. Eric Wasserson (Team Wass), Mike Gorodinsky (Team Splashy Octopi), Brian Hastings (Team AJ’s Eagles), and Jeremy Ausmus (Team DPMD) are also still in contention.
Event #83: $2,500 NLH Freezeout attracted 1,299 players, but only 247 of them will return for Day 2. They include chip leader Noel Rodriguez (Team Frog Poison), Phil Hui (Team Brown’s Bargain Bin), Andrew Ostapchenko (Team Liaison), Cary Katz (Team AJ’s Eagles), Alex Livingston (Team Noori), Ryan Hoenig (Team Lang), Danny Wong (Team Hoggers), Klemens Roiter (Team Liaison), and Renan Bruschi (Team Wass); as well as, ODB Bonus players Nicholas Verderamo, Shawn Daniels, Justin Zaki, and David Mzareulov.
Unfortunately, many fantasy players fell on Day 1b of the 2025 WSOP $10,000 Main Event, including David “Bakes” Baker, Andrew Brown, Nick Schulman, Artur Martirosian, Shawn Daniels, Ian Steinman, Felipe Ramos, Chino Rheem, Renji Mao, and Ryan Hoenig.
How to Follow the Action
Remember, PokerNews has been tracking $25K Fantasy players in our live updates and has even made it simple to follow the action by tagging all players with either a 25K Fantasy or ODB badge. That allows you to utilize our chip count filter option to follow only those players (just tick the 25K Fantasy or ODB badge); what’s more, each blog will have a “25K Fantasy” tab that if you click all you will see are hands played by 25K Fantasy players.
