2025 WSOP Day 40 - Wass vs. Gordo for Bracelet; Deeb in Pole Position in Event #84
On Day 40 of the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Event #82: $10,000 Eight Game Mixed Championship will see the final two players – Eric Wasserson (Team Wass) and Mike Gorodinsky (Team Splashy Octopi) – return to battle to a winner. The former holds a significant chip lead, but anything can happen.
Event #83: $2,500 NLH Freezeout attracted 1,299 players, but only 25 of them will return for Day 3. They include Cary Katz (Team AJ’s Eagles) and the short-stacked Klemens Roiter (Team Liaison), as well as ODB Bonus players Nicholas Verderamo and Justin Zaki.
Over in Event #84: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em, a 1,873-entry field was whittled down to 281 players after Day 1 action. Of those, only four are fantasy players, including chip leader Shaun Deeb (Team Phenom), Uri Reichenstein (Team DPMD), Lawrence Brandt (Team Handsome Horses), and the short-stacked Ben Yu (Team Survivor Sweat).
Unfortunately, a handful of fantasy players fell on Day 1c of the 2025 WSOP $10,000 Main Event, including Punnat Punsri, Julien Martini, Ryan Hughes, Xixiang Luo, and Lawrence Brandt.
How to Follow the Action
Remember, PokerNews has been tracking $25K Fantasy players in our live updates and has even made it simple to follow the action by tagging all players with either a 25K Fantasy or ODB badge. That allows you to utilize our chip count filter option to follow only those players (just tick the 25K Fantasy or ODB badge); what’s more, each blog will have a “25K Fantasy” tab that if you click all you will see are hands played by 25K Fantasy players.
