One of the big questions coming into the $25K Fantasy was how much might "Texas" Mike Moncek fetch?

He claimed he was ready to put in the volume, and when he became the 28th player nominated, the bids rolled in.

"Let's go to $60 and see what happens," Brent Hanks of Team Splash Sports said.

It wasn't enough, as more bids followed before Team Survivor Sweat added the Hustler Casino Live (HCL) regular as their first member for $89.

Negreanu's Aggressive Bidding on Josh Arieh Falls Short ($71)

Josh Arieh was nominated for $19, and Daniel Negreanu immediately bid him to $20. Brent Hanks then made it $30, Negreanu responded with $35, and then some more bids rolled in.

Negreanu snapped over every bid and seemed intent on getting Arieh, and things got serious when the price crossed $50. It went into the sixties, and still Negreanu wouldn't relent going head-to-head against Team Jeremy's.

Negreanu big $70, but it wasn't enough as Team Jeremy's went a buck more. It proved a dollar too much for Negreanu, who cried uncle to send Arieh to Team Jeremy's for $71.

John Racener, who is the fourth-highest point earner in the history of the $25K Fantasy with 1,640 points behind only Negreanu, Hellmuth, and Deeb, was the 23rd player nominated.

He ended up going for what seemed to be a reasonable $54 to Team Splashy Octopi, joining John Riordan on the roster.

Eric Wasserson was the next nominee, and a bidding war saw Brent Hanks of Team Splash Sports say that $39 was their final bid. It looked for a moment as if that would get the job done, but $3 more worth of bids saw him go to Team Wass.

James Obst Drafted by Team Australia ($91)

James Obst
James Obst

Team Jeremy's nominated James Obst.

Four different teams had their sights on Obst, but the final two teams bidding was Team Jeremy's, and Obst's own team, Team Australia.

Team Jeremy's seemed determined to secure Obst, but Team Australia's final bid of $91 made Team Jeremy's bow out, sending Obst to his own team.

Team AJ's Eagles nominated Jesse Loins for $1.

Several teams bid on Lonis as he quickly shot up past $50.

Mutiple teams kept increasing the price, but it was Team Lady Gaga and Team Girl Dads the final two teams going back and forth.

Finally, Team Girl Dads secured Lonis with their final bid of $103.
