Middleton and Weisner Clash

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

Tom Middleton and Melanie Weisner have got involved in a fairly big pot on their table, which also features Katie Moorman.

On a flop of {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, both Middleton and Weisner checked. On the turn of {10-Spades} Middleton made it 5,500. Weisner called. The river {A-Hearts} saw both check again and Middleton's {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} took it down. Wesiner is short again after a difficult few days in both the High Roller and Day 1a. However, Middleton is chip leader in the room with ten minutes to go until the next break.

Mizrachi Chipping Up

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

Michael Mizrachi has started to build an impressive stack at his Day 1b Main Event table here at the 888poker London Live Festival.

The elite No Hold'em player who calls Ohio homemade it 1,600 from the small blind and was called by the player on the button. The flop of {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{4-Spades} saw Mizrachi continue for 2,000.

"That's not a bad flop for me." he said, but he was ignored by the big blind player, who immediately raised all-in for 11,125.

"I'm drawing." said Mizrachi's opponent after Mizrachi called.

"You don't want to be drawing." confirmed Mizrachi as he turned over {A-Spades}{10-Spades} for the nut flush draw. He was up against {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}.

The slightly improbable {5-Spades} landed on the turn, meaning Mizrachi had his nut flush, and the river {10-Hearts} was meaningless. 'The Grinder' has well over the chip average.

Moorman Out Then In

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

Chris Moorman enjoyed a solid day at the High Roller felt yesterday, but it would be fair to say that his Main Event experience has been more up and down...or rather down and up.

First, Team 888Poker ambassador Moorman was all-in on a flop of {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs} and had {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for Broadway against the caller's pocket jacks. But the board ran out with consecutive deuces on turn and river to give his opponent a full house.

Buying back in, Moorman has landed on the table of fellow Arsenal supporter and British professional Steve Watts. In their first hand together, we joined the action with Watts c-betting the flop of {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for 1,300. Moorman called to a turn of {7-Clubs} and both men checked. The river of {A-Spades} saw Watts make it 2,625, but when Moorman made it 8,100, Watts folded.

Bader Beaten by the Champ

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante
Eric Le Goff (here in the High Roller)
Eric Le Goff (here in the High Roller)

Eric Le Goff made it 700 and Martin Bader called from the big blind.

"I bet I have the best hand." Bader said.

The two men saw a flop of {7-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Spades} saw Le Goff continue for 1,000. Bader made it 2,200 and Le Goff called. The turn of {4-Hearts} saw both men check and they did the same on the {6-Clubs} river. Le Goff turned over {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Bader {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

"Oh, I knew I had the best hand pre-flop." said Bader. Le Goff raked in the pot, however and the High Roller champion who won £30,000 yesterday evening, is off to a good start.

Grafton Growing His Stack

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

Sam Grafton has only just sat down, but the Poland-based British pro has already grown his starting stack in the first hand he played.

Calling an opening bet in position to 2,500 pre-flop, Grafton led the flop of {4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} for 3,000, getting a call. On the turn of {J-Clubs}, he made it 7,000 and got a fold after being asked how much he was playing. "Starting stack" was the reponse, but Grafton now has 20% more chips than he started with.

Daniel James Got Game

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

After a player in early position opened to 1,000 and Daniel James called in the cut-off, Steven Game raised to 3,200 from the small blind. Both players called.

On the flop of {3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} , Game continued for 4,500 and after the original bettor folded, Daniel James moved all-in for 29,525. Game called it off.

Steven Game: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Daniel James: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The turn of {4-Clubs} and river of {7-Clubs} gave Daniel James a double-up and sent Game down to 12,000 chips.

Heidorn Sitting and Swinging

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

After playing the £2,000 High Roller event yesterday, German pro Robert Heidorn has sat down in the Main Event, and has immediately been putting position to good use, raising a bet fro the cut-off in the big bling then powering check-raises post-flop in two consecutive hands to go up to 36,000 very quickly. He seems in no mood to slow down.

You can watch Team 888Poker professionals Chris Moorman and Sofia Lovgren are at the feature table, which is now available with commentary from Parker 'Tonkaaaa' Talbot and David Tuchman via the Live Stream link.
