Lob's Day to Forget; Evard Doubles

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Josep Maria Galindo Lopez lost half of his stack but rivered a straight with {9-Clubs}{7-Spades} to double back to 300,000. Joachim Lob will have to do so also, as he is down to around 130,000 and seemingly unhappy with how things went thus far.

Another Swiss however is thriving, and that's Francois Evard next to Lob. He defended the big blind against Sergi Monferrer and check-called a bet of 14,000 on the {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. On the {4-Diamonds} turn, Evard check-shoved into a bet worth 40,000 and Monferrer called for 109,500 with the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Evard had {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and completed a full house on the {4-Clubs} river to double up.

Action on Table 15

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Aleksei Istomin doubled early with ace-six before losing a small all in. Then, Sandro Hauser doubled with {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} against the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} of Francisco Blazquez Gallego on a board of {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{A-Hearts} before sending his very opponent to the rail soon after.

This time, it was Blazquez Gallego all in and at risk with ace-king, and Hauser had him dominated with {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}. The board came {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} and the Spaniard was gone.

Last but not least, Jordi Marcos Fernandez held up with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} against the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades} of Alexander Beresnev on table 15 as well to send the Russian to the rail.
