Benaissa Dusts Off Desset

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Sofian Benaissa and Andrej Desset went at it, and the latter ended up as the player at risk.

Andrej Desset: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Sofian Benaissa: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop and the {A-Hearts} turn provided each of the over cards for Benaissa, and the {4-Diamonds} river was a blank to eliminate Desset. Younesse Oualgasi and Alexander Teufel are nowhere to be found either.

Fara Busts Waltermann

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Tomas fara
Tomas fara

Gregor Waltermann raised to 3,700 from under the gun and was called by Francisco Jose Garcia Martin, Alexey Antokhin and Sergio Alonso Camunas in the small blind. Tomas Fara was priced in from the big blind and also came along for the ride.

The flop fell {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} and the action checked to Waltermann, who bet 11,000. All opponents but Fara folded and the Czech then moved all in via check-raise. Waltermann quickly called and Fara asked "do you have jacks?" Waltermann shook his head and simply said "I have a draw."

Tomas Fara: {6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Gregor Waltermann: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}

The {7-Clubs} turn and {7-Diamonds} river blanked and Waltermann, who had around 70,000 after the flop, was eliminated. Fara took over the lead as [Removed:312] lost an expensive flip with ace-king against pocket queens.

Morgado Flipped Out by Shehadeh

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Luis Miguel Munoz Morgado moved all-in for 15,800with {A-Clubs}{8-Spades} from the cut-off and was re-shoved on by Luigi Andrea Shehadeh for 55,000 with {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Nobody else fancied a piece of the action.

The board of {2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} saw Morgado moved on and he exited the tournament room swiftly but politely (good karma right there). Shehadeh is up to well over the average in the room of 62,926. We have around 50 minutes of play left tonight.

Hakli Takes from Roux

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Marco Hakli defended his big blind against a raise by Jonathan Roux from early position and checked the {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop. Roux continued for 3,000 and Hakli called before the {J-Clubs} fell on the turn. Hakli checked again and Roux bet 7,500. Hakli then check-raised to 20,500 and that did the trick to force a fold.

While Roux dropped to the average of 70,000, Hakli is well above that and just one double up away from being the chip leader.

Hodaj Done After Setup Flop

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Besmir Hodaj and Alejandro Peinando Guillen clashed after a flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and it soon became obvious why. Hodaj had flopped two pair with {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Peinando Guillen flipped over {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for bottom set.

The {4-Hearts} turn and {5-Spades} river changed nothing anymore and Hodaj was eliminated.

Cherif Hits Six Figures

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Haykel Cherif Vidal moved over the top of two opponents' bets pre-flop and re-raised to 14,100, squeezing the life out of those opponents and bullying his way to over 100,000 chips for the first time in Level 12.

Haykel Cherif Vidal showed {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} as his opponents folded, and with around 30 minutes left to play, he's in great shape to be among the top level of chipcounts.
