For the first time in 888Live tournaments Aspers will see the introduction of the Shot Clock.
Once the dealer has dealt the last card in a hand they operate the timer with a pedal and the 'Shot Clock' begins and each player will be given 30 seconds to act.
If a player is facing a bet or raise, the timer will begin only after their chips are counted and the number of chips required to call are stated. Players will also be allotted a certain number of time extensions, each of which will add an extra thirty seconds to the timer in the event that they need more time to reach a decision.
You can read more about the Shot Clock which will be used in both the High Roller and the Main Event later in the Festival.
The ranks of the high rollers have been swollen to 43 players including these familiar faces.
