Catalin Pot raised to 13,000 from early position. It folded to Sergejs Dubovs in the big blind.
A lot has been said in the poker community recently about excessive tanking, and whether shot clocks should be implemented. Dubovs has this covered. On the stand next to him at the table there is a pot of tea, and next to that is a tablet. This tablet has a countdown timer set to one minute.
On more than one occasion so far today, I have seen the action fold around to Dubovs, who dutifully presses a button and the one-minute countdown timer starts. Sometimes he folds straight away, and resets the timer. Other times he spends 40 seconds on his decision. For whose benefit is this? Who knows.
So facing this bet from Pot, Dubovs pressed his timer. The clock ticked away as he played with his remaining chips. He had come into the day with 55,000 and it had withered down to just over 30,000. He eventually moved all in and Pot instantly called.
Pot showed [kckqc] and Dubovs . "Good luck sir," said Pot.
The flop came . "That's not a good flop for you," remarked Pot. The turn was even worse, as it was the . With Dubovs in real danger of being counterfeited, the river was dealt. The .
Time waits for no man, and Dubovs gathered his things and headed to the exit.

Tim Gruber raised to 13,000 from the button and Torsten Rink defended his big blind.
The flop was and Rink check-called a bet of 14,000 from his opponent.
Both players checked the on the turn. The river was the and Rink bet 20,000. Gruber quickly called and watched as Rink showed for a pair of sixes, but Gruber had him beat with for a pair of nines.
Gruber has chipped up nicely from the start of the day, adding a little over 100,000 to his overnight stack as we approach the end of level 17.

Table 96 was always going to be a hotbed of activity today. Three of the top 20 were seated there, and with the addition of Jose Carlos Vecino after his table broke, there were some monster stacks just itching to get into the middle.
Jose Carlos Vecino now sits on a stack of around 700,000, and he explained that it was down in part to the elimination of tablemate Tariq Ullah. Vecino raised to 14,000 with blinds 3,000/6,000, and Ullah moved all in for 120,000. Vecino called and his was ahead of Ullah's .

Ruben Perez opened to 16,500 from the button. His stack had slipped somewhat from where he started today, but he was still remaining active at his table.
Dino Pasquale then three-bet all-in from the small blind for his remaining chips, around 80,000. The big blind folded and Perez called.
Perez showed and was behind to Pasquale's . However, the flop soon changed all that, as Perez flopped the absolute nuts on . There were some backdoor outs, but they were extinguished when the board completed and Perez gratefully added Pasquale's chips to his stack.

Nikolai Bozic raised to 18,500 from the cutoff. The button called, as did Ruben Perez from the big blind. Perez had recently take some chips off of Juan Carlos Vecino, as the two of them continue their battle at the top of the chip counts.
The flop was and it checked to Bozic who bet 28,000. The button folded and Perez called.
The turn was the and again Perez checked to Bozic who bet 55,000. Perez called.
With just under 250,000 chips in the pot, the river was the and Perez checked a third time. This time Bozic bet 140,000 and Perez went into the tank.
Having come into the day with the chip lead of 426,500, Perez could fall back to around that amount if he called and was wrong. Bozic, on the other hand, came into the day with just 175,000 and has shot up to be challenging the chip leaders.
In the end Perez folded, and Bozic stack his chips up as the players prepared to go on break.
