Moschitta Triples Up

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Luca Moschitta
Luca Moschitta

Within quick succession, Silviu Baltateanu, Pierre Tassin, Marius Pertea and Laurentiu Ioan Mihaila were sent to the rail.

Luca Moschitta was more fortunate and tripled up his short stack of 14,000. Moschitta's shove was called by big stack Florin Tatu and Dimitros Dimitrios, and the latter bet the {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop to force a fold from Tatu.

Luca Moschitta: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Dimitros Dimitrios: {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The {4-Diamonds} turn and {A-Spades} river were of no help for Dimitrios and Moschitta tripled up.

Saliba Takes from Racolta

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Vivian Saliba raised to 3,000 and Andrei Racolta three-bet to 11,000, which Saliba called. Both players checked the {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and on the {8-Hearts} turn, Saliba checked before calling a delayed continuation bet of 11,000. There was no betting action on the {7-Clubs} river and Saliba turned over {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}, Racolta mucked {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

Hof Missing; Cornea Eliminated

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Natalie Hof
Natalie Hof

Natalie Hof is no longer in her seat and she took to social media to confirm the elimination. According to Hof she defended her big blind with king-eight suited and got it in with top pair on an eight-high turn against an opponent with {5-}{4-} for a pair and open-ended straight draw. The river brought two pair for her opponent and the 888poker ambassador was gone.

Sergiu Cornea shoved for his last 14,200 and was called by Costinel Pascu from one seat over.

Sergiu Cornea: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}
Costinel Pascu: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board of {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts} failed to improve Cornea and he was also sent to the rail.

Teplitski and Dimitrios Double

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On the flop of {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}, Michael Teplitski was all in and at risk with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and started celebrating early when he found himself up and ahead of the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} of Ioannis Vogiatzoglou. That all but changed with the {A-Hearts} turn, but Teplitski spiked the {4-Clubs} on the river to improve to a flush.

Luca Moschitta's stack has been cut down to just 20,000 after the Italian had to forfeit 43,000 to Dimitros Dimitrios. Moschitta had looked up the Greek preflop with {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} versus {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and the board of {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} gave Dimitrios a full house.

No Luck for Chisu Today

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Danut Chisu fired three bullets on Day 1a without success and was among the latest players to bust, where he was soon joined by Pasquale Grimaldi who exited from the same table.

Vivian Saliba sent Valentin Parvan to the rail and Ran Azor has been spotted back in the field after successfully re-entering in the first level after the dinner break.

Game Over for Petleshkov

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Chip leader Florin Tatu raised from early position and Viliyan Petleshkov moved all in for 21,900 on the button. Hristo Panteleev in the big blind checked his cards and called, while Tatu quickly announced a fold.

Viliyan Petleshkov: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Hristo Panteleev: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} and Petleshkov failed to get there, joining the rail shortly after the registration for Day 1a officially closed.

Arda and Chisu Under Pressure

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

While Silviu Baltateanu and Alexandru Papazian chipped up further and Catalin Pop raked in a pot with a simple continuation bet on the {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, the fate of Danut Chisu and Ozgur Arda had been much different and both are currently struggling with fewer than the starting stack.

Picking up the action on the {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} turn, action checked to Arda who bet 12,000. Boaz Kolenbrener called on the button and Chisu folded. Both then checked the {K-Clubs} river and Kolenbrener announced a straight before rolling over {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Arda mucked and was left with fewer than 20 big blinds as a result.

Tatu Steamrolls Into the Lead

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Florin Tatu
Florin Tatu

Ran Azor got his stack in preflop with the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and former chip leader Florian Costache did so with the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. But there was also Florin Tatu with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} and he had the biggest stack of the trio. The board ran out {K-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Tatu paired his king on the flop to score a double knockout.

But Tatu didn't stop there just yet, as he also flopped a straight with {8-Spades}{7-Spades} to crack the {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} of Fabio Lanzafame on a board of {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} to vault into a commanding lead.
