Adrian Garcia Fernandez Wins a Go Pro Camera

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

888poker just gave away a Go Pro camera to Adrian Garcia Fernandez. It wasn't just because they knew he would smile from ear to ear, which he did.

He was the first player in the Main Event to nail down a full house with eights-full in line with the 888poker brand name with no-one winding up with that hand during yesterday's field and earlier today either.

This isn't the only prize 888poker might give away during the Main Event. The first player that gets royal flush will be awarded a brand new iPhone X.

Rozel Chips Up

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

While most of the players in today's field are from the home country of Spain, there are many that have come from other countries as well including France's Roland Rozel who is looking to add to his nearly $300,000 in lifetime cashes with a big score in the Main Event.

He is off to a good start and just won a small pot showing a little aggression.

He opened up from late position to 600 and got a call from Go Pro camera winner Adrian Garcia Fernandez in the big blind.

Both players checked the {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop before Garcia Fernandez fired out for 1,100 after the {6-Clubs} appeared on the turn. Rozel wasted no time and quickly raised the action to 4,000.

Garcia Fernandez thought for a moment before he tapped the table and turned over the {10-Diamonds} which at a minimum gave him top pair.

As the dealer was pushing over the chips to Rozel, he turned over the {K-Diamonds}.

With two blind levels now in the books, the poker room is getting fuller and fuller. There are now 139 players and growing in the Day 1b field.

"Nice River" For Andersson

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

John Denis Rafael Andersson opened for 400 and called a three-bet from Gediminas Dirmantas to 1,100.

Andersson checked after the flop came {7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{a-Spades}. Dirmantas bet 1,100 and Andersson quickly called.

Another check came from Andersson after the {3-Clubs} appeared on the turn. Dirmantas bet 2,200 and Andersson looked deep in thought. The dealer pointed out that Andersson had 10 seconds left on the shot clock. Andersson acknowledged this before he called.

Andersson then fired out for 6,000 after the {4-Spades} completed the board on the river and his opponent quickly folded.

Jon Kyte, who is also at the same table, said to Andersson, "Nice river."

Andersson replied with, "Very nice."

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

The blinds just went up to 150/300 with an ante of 50. The field has grown to 160 entrants with 150 players still in their seats.

Jon Kyte Eliminated With Suited Connectors

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Yesterday, Jon Kyte took seventh place in the 888poker LIVE Barcelona €2,200 High Roller for €9,500. Today hasn't gone as well for the Norwegian as his seat is now occupied by a new player.

Kyte's friend, Stian Knutson who was sitting next to him shared with PokerNews how Kyte hit the rail.

Kyte was low on chips and jammed for 3,700 with {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Gediminas Dirmantas called with {a-}{k-}. The board was unable to improve Kyte's hand and he went to at a minimum take a break.

Kyte shared with Knutson that he wasn't sure whether he would reenter or not today as reentry is open through all of the opening flights and up until the start of Day 2.
