Aleksandrs Golubevs Eliminated in 5th Place (£24,920)

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Aleksandrs Golubevs
Aleksandrs Golubevs

Aleksandrs Golubevs jammed the small blind for the final 705,000 and Egidijus Alsauskas called from the big blind after plenty of consideration.

Aleksandrs Golubevs: {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Egidijus Alsauskas: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Golubevs was somewhat surprised and Alsauskas immediately apologized and said: "we are both short stacks."

The {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop left Golubves in desperate shape and it was all over on the {2-Spades} turn which made the {9-Clubs} river a formality. Golubevs takes home £24,920 for his 5th place finish.
