Lovgren Doubles Through Pyatak

Level 9 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

There was loud uproar in Russian in the far corner table as several players snapped out their smartphones and 888poker ambassador Sofia Lovgren did so as well to record the outcome of her double up for social media.

Lovgren had clashed with Aleksandr Pyatak and plenty of chips were in the middle as both hands were already tabled. Lovgren had flopped a full house with {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} on a board of {k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} while Pyatak took a big hit to his stack with the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}.

Berkan Acarman

Berkan Acarman jammed the river of a board {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for around 28,000 and his sole remaining opponent Andrey Danilyuk tank-folded the {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} face up.

Soon after it was Danilyuk who three-bet his short stack against an open-raise to 3,100 and a flat-call by Mete Ustuay. Two folds later, Danilyuk recovered a portion of the chips he had just lost.

Third Time a Charm for Tertychnyi?

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andrii Tertychnyi has entered for a third time on Day 1c and was spotted in a long hand at the end of level eight. Aleksey Yurin in the big blind check-called a bet of 13,000 by Tertychnyi on the {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs} turn and checked again the {j-Spades} on the river. Tertychnyi made it 22,500 to go and that eventually forced a fold.

Both then headed into the final break of the day, of which five of the ten minutes remained due to the length of their hand.
