Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Igor Chashchin
Igor Chashchin

Igor Chashchin had more than doubled his stack early on but has since dwindled back to where he started with. In a three-bet pot with 22,000 in the middle to the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Spades} he checked out of the small blind and his opponent checked back. Chashchin bet the {k-Diamonds} turn for 7,100 and that won the pot right there.

Even More for Shafigullin

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Irakliy Nutsubidze and Ayvar Akhemedov re-entered and ended up on the table of big stack Marat Shafigullin. The latter used the power of his chips and pushed into Nutsubidze on the river of a {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board. A sigh-fold followed and Nutsubidze was left with a fraction of the stack he started with.

Dechev Busts Eliahu

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With 70,000 already in the middle and the completed board showing {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Hristo Dechev pushed all in and Moshe Eliahu was the sole remaining opponent. Eliahu had around 30,000 behind and was sent deep into the think tank, the clock was called on him eventually.

Eliahu called and Dechev tabled {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for the overpair, which was good as Eliahu tried to muck his cards. As per all in showdown rule, his {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} were exposed.

Third Time a Charm for Tertychnyi?

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andrii Tertychnyi has entered for a third time on Day 1c and was spotted in a long hand at the end of level eight. Aleksey Yurin in the big blind check-called a bet of 13,000 by Tertychnyi on the {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs} turn and checked again the {j-Spades} on the river. Tertychnyi made it 22,500 to go and that eventually forced a fold.

Both then headed into the final break of the day, of which five of the ten minutes remained due to the length of their hand.
