Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Gerard Rubiralta
Gerard Rubiralta

Having defended out of the big blind, Gerard Rubiralta check-raised the {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop to 5,100 and was called only by the table big stack Xavier Sandoval Riba in the cutoff. Rubiralta bet the {2-Diamonds} turn for 6,500 to earn a call and then made it 11,600 to go on the {k-Spades} river, keeping just 1,000 behind.

Sandoval Riba called and mucked when he was shown the {8-Spades}{6-Hearts} for the flopped ten-high straight.

Short Stack Double for Khaleghian

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Alexandre Mantovani raised to 1,200 and Kian Khaleghian then got the last 4,700 in from two seats over. Rene Majed in the blinds asked for a count and called while Mantovani folded.

Kian Khaleghian: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Rene Majed: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The dominating pair remained ahead throughout the {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts} board and Khaleghian doubled, then predicted he would turn it into a six-figure stack eventually. On the same table, Alexandre Ventura Bolet emerged as the current chip leader with more than three times the starting stack.

Chico Lopez Bows Out on a Move

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

The cards of Manuel Chico Lopez were just mucked when Ernst Soderkvist raked in the large pot. His {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} had flopped the top set and turned queens full on the {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds} board.

When asked when the holdings of the Spaniard were, James Crawley-Boevey on the same table replied "three four of diamonds, this hand was a very good advertisement for this tournament."

Chico Lopez is expected to be back shortly.

Abernathy Eliminated in Three-Way All-In

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Sam Abernathy
Sam Abernathy

The board was already mucked according to the Spanish live reporters from Poker Red and Sam Abernathy was spotted on her way out. Her last 6,200 had gone in preflop with the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Joan Capel Gallardo got involved with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. However, it was the {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of Max Avela that won it all with no paint cards making an appearance.

The empty seat of Abernathy was filled by Gabriel Podovei, who sported more than the starting stack all of a sudden only minutes after he was very short.
