Trivedi Opens with Some Three-Bets

The action folded to Raymond Caabay on the button who raised to 60,000 with 5♥5♦. Smit Trivedi woke up with K♦J♦ in the big blind and shoved all in for 495,000 which got a fold from Caabay.

On the next hand, Tobias Kirby Hogarty raised to 60,000 on the button with K♥10♣ and Trivedi reraised to 160,000 with K♣J♦. Kirby Hogarty folded and Trivedi collected another pot.

Following that, Kirby Hogarty made it 60,000 in the cutoff with A♦4♥ and Trivedi responded with another three-bet to 160,000 with 10♠10♣. The rest of the table folded and Trivedi laughed as he picked up some more chips.

Ryan Otto opened to 65,000 in the hijack with K♣Q♥ and was called by Hong Pham on the button with J♠7♠ and Dave Mcconachie in the big blind with A♣10♣. The flop came A♥Q♦9♣ and the action checked to Pham who bet 60,000. Both Mccconachie and Otto stuck around after flopping pairs.

The turn brought the 5♠ and the action checked around to the K♠ on the river. Mcconachie and Otto checked again and Pham took a shot witha bet of 360,000. Mcconachie called and Otto laid down the best hand. Mcconachie's pair of aces was enough to catch Pham bluffing and he moved into second place.

Raymond Caabay opened to 65,000 in middle position with 9♠9♣ and Francis Obadun defended from the big blind with 5♠2♥. The flop came J♦8♣2♦ and Obadun check-called a bet of 55,000 from Caabay.

The turn brought the 5♣ and Obadun checked again. Caabay fired out another bet of 150,000 and Obadun stuck around for the 3♣ on the river. Obadun led out with a bet of 250,000 on the river and Caabay slammed in a call, only to find out that Obadun turned two pair.

Raymond Caabay shipped all in for his last 185,000 under the gun and Francis Obadun looked him up on the button. The blinds folded and the two hands were tabled.

It turned out to be a coin flip and the flop of 6♦3♠2♠ favored Caabay with the pair of sevens. However, the K♠ on the turn gave Obadun a pair of kings and the 10♣ on the river sent Caabay to the rail.

The action folded around to Bixi Yao in the small blind who ripped all in for 230,000. Hong Pham wasted little time before calling from the big blind and was in a dominating position.

Obadun Shuts Down on the River

Hong Pham opened to 85,000 from middle position with A♦7♣ and was called by Francis Obadun on her left with A♠J♠. Tobias Kirby Hogarty came along with 6♠6♦ in the small blind and Smit Trivedi called in the big blidn with Q♦9♦.

The flop came K♦7♠5♥ and Pham continued with a bet of 150,000. Obadun was the only player to call and the 4♥ landed on the turn. Pham checked this time and Obadun stuck in a bet of 150,000. Pham called and the 4♣ paired the board on the river.

Both players tapped the table and Pham's pair of sevens was good enough to win some chips back.

Jiaze Li opened to 80,000 in early position with A♥A♣ and was called by Hong Pham and Francis Obadun in the blinds with Q♣J♣ and K♠7♥ respectively. The flop fell Q♥9♠3♠ and the action checked to Li who continued with a bet of 125,000. Pham called and Obadun got out of the way.

The turn brought the 8♠ and Pham checked again. Li counted out a bet of 300,000 and Pham check-raised all in. Li had a decision to make with 405,000 behind and eventually made the call.

The river was the 4♥ and Li's aces held on for a double-up through Pham, swapping stacks with the former chip leader.
