McDermott Dodges the Two-Outer
Level 19
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
The action folded around to Jack McDermott in the small blind who made it 26,000 to go. Smit Trivedi called from the big blind and the dealer fanned the flop of 9♥6♠3♣.
McDermott checked to Trivedi who threw in a bet of 17,000. McDermott check-raised all in for 142,000 and Trivedi quickly called. McDermott turned over J♥J♣ and Trivedi was slightly behind with 10♥10♣.
The 9♦ on the turn nearly hit Trivedi but the 6♣ on the river ensured McDermott of the double-up.
