Game Over

Level 20 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Steven Game
Steven Game

Tobias Kirby opened to 20,000 in early position and Steven Game just called on his left. Bixi Yao three-bet to 90,000 from the big blind and Kirby quickly folded. Game responded with a four-bet shove all in for around 230,000 and Yao quickly called.

Steven Game: AA
Bixi Yao: AK

The flop fell 1095 and things were looking good for Game to double up. However, the 2 and 10 runout gave Yao a flush and Game was eliminated.

Death by Quads

Level 20 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Billy Vincent Irvine opened to 20,000 in the hijack and Leon Campbell flat-called from the cutoff. They went heads-up to a flop of KK2 and Irvine continued with a bet of 16,000. Campbell called and the 9 landed on the turn.

Irvine fired out another bet of 28,000 and Campbell came along to the K on the river. Irvine checked this time and Campbell shipped all in. Irvine was put to the test for his last 147,000 chips and used a couple of time banks before calling it off. Campbell showed KQ for quad kings while Irvine was left with 55.

Haycock Faces a Bigger Ace

Level 20 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Paul Haycock came into the day as one of the chip leaders and managed to make his way into the money. Down to his last 112,000 chips, Haycock shipped all in from under the gun. Raymond Caabay reshoved all in on the button and the two hands were tabled.

Paul Haycock: A7
Raymond Caabay: AJ

Haycock found himself dominated against the bigger ace and the flop of K85 provided no immediate help. The K on the turn gave some chop outs but the 2 on the river ended the tournament for Haycock.

Chris Dasilva Eliminated in 24th Place (£2,750)

Level 20 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Chris Dasilva
Chris Dasilva

Chris Dasilva was left with 158,000 and pushed all in from under the gun. Chris Williams asked for a count in middle position and then just called. The rest of the table folded and the two hands were face up.

Chris Dasilva: 88
Chris Williams: QQ

Not only did Williams hold the better of the two pocket pairs, but he also had both of the suits covered. The flop came KQ6 and Williams picked up a set of queens. The 2 on the turn left Dasilva drawing dead to the K on the river.

Level 20 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Raymond Caabay raised to 22,000 in the hijack and Angelos Nastosmegas ripped all in for 185,000 in the small blind. Caabay asked for a count before sliding out a stack of chips to call.

Angelos Nastosmegas: A6

Janice Phillips: KQ
Hong Pham: Q8

The flop came Q87 and Pham picked up two pair to take the lead. The 8 on the turn gave her a full house and the K on the river was not enough for Phillips.
