£1,100 Main Event
Day 2 Started
Three starting flights have been completed and players will now return for Day 2 of the £1,100 Main Event at the 888poker Live London festival. There will be at least 124 players returning to their seats for the start of play at 12:00 p.m. noon with late registration still open until the cards go in the air.
It has been a successful turnout for the 888poker series in the heart of London, England taking place at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino. Nearly 400 entries have been recorded for the Main Event thus far and the total number will be confirmed once the registration period closes. With nearly £400,000 up for grabs over the next two days, it will be a dog fight to see who can make it into the money over the next few levels.
Jiaze Li will be the man to catch once the action gets underway after bagging up a massive stack of 375,500 on Day 1a. He holds a healthy lead over fellow Day 1a participant Steven Game who will be returning to a stack of 279,500. Leon Campbell will round out the podium after finishing atop Day 1b with 231,500 chips.
The action is scheduled to resume at 12:00 p.m. noon local time with the blinds on level 13 at 1,000/2,000 and a 2,000 big blind ante. The levels will be increased to 60 minutes in length throughout the tournament until just five players remain at which point they will be reduced again. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level of the day.
For those players looking to sneak in at the last moment, a starting stack will be worth 30,000 chips, good enough for 15 big blinds. A total of 10 levels are on the schedule for Day 2 with the money bubble expected to burst before the dinner break. The final table and champion will be crowned tomorrow on Day 3 which will wrap up the series. There will also be a feature table streamed on a 30-minute delay that you can check out on the 888poker Twitch page, or by clicking on the 'Stream' tab.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be here to bring you all of the live updates throughout the day including the money bubble.

Arian Hassankashani opened to 4,500 in middle position and "PO" called from the small blind. The flop came Q♠5♥2♠ and "PO" check-called a bet of 5,000 from Hassankashani.
The turn brought the 7♠ and both players checked to the 8♠ on the river. With four spades on the board, "PO" fired out a bet of 10,500 which Hassankashani called. "PO" reluctantly turned over J♥J♣ but Hassankashani was unable to beat it.

Yazan Mdanat was one of the new entries to start the day but was down to just 12,000 when he pushed all in from early position. Billy Vincent Irvine called on his left and George Hassabis also pushed all in for 45,500 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Irvine who called to put both players at risk.
Yazan Mdanat: 9♦4♦
George Hassabis: A♦K♠
Billy Vincent Irvine: A♥Q♥
"I'm ahead," Mdanat piped up. "Well not ahead, but I have a chance."

The numbers have been confirmed and with 385 total entries, there will be £365,750 up for grabs over the next two days. There will be 38 places paid with a min-cash being worth £2,250 while the winner will be taking home £93,000. A full list of the payouts can be seen via the 'Payout' tab.
Jack Allen opened to 5,000 in middle position and Alexios Zervos called from the big blind. The flop fell K♦10♥3♦ and Zervos check-called a bet of 7,000 from Allen.
The turn brought the 8♥ and Zervos checked again. Allen tossed in a bet of 15,000 and Zervos used a time bank before calling. The K♣ paired the board on the river and Zervos checked for the third time.
Allen shoved all in, putting Zervos to the test for his last 30,500 chips. Zervos burned through the last of his time banks before finally calling it off. Allen turned over K♥10♣ for a full house which was more than enough to eliminate Zervos with Q♦8♦.
