Ventura Puts on the Pressure
Level 6
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jaume Alomar opened to 2,000 from middle position and received calls from Alexander Ventura in the small blind and a player in the big blind.
The flop came A♠J♥3♠. Action checked around to Alomar who bet 1,800. Ventura made the call while the big blind got out of the way.
On the 9♣ turn Alomar bet again when checked to, this time for 5,000. Ventura put in a check-raise to 18,500 and after about a minute to consider his options Alomar mucked his hand.
